Welcoming Lexie to The Baby Boutique 4D team 💖👶

We are so excited to introduce Lexie as our newest Obstetric Ultrasound Technician and Early Gender Specialist based only at our Dunnville location.

Fun fact 💕 Lexie actually completed her co-op placement with us, so she may already be a familiar face to many of you. If you met Lexie during her school days, comment below and show her some love ✨

As she steps into this role, Lexie will be completing training ultrasounds with our team while gaining hands-on experience and guided learning throughout each scan.

Support our doulas!! This is so not okay 🩷😥

Doulas have been PROVEN to decrease the rates of cesareans, preterm births, unnecessary interventions and improve the overall outcomes for patients.
Denying your patients this outcome is a huge red flag and looks like you have something to hide. Any provider who is not welcoming of collaborating with doulas is not a safe provider to have.

Having an anterior placenta.
Something people don’t talk about enough during pregnancy.

An anterior placenta means the placenta is attached to the front of your uterus, right behind your belly.
It changes a lot about how you experience pregnancy.

For me, it made the first 20 weeks scary.
I couldn’t feel the baby move like everyone said I would.
I worried constantly.
I wondered if everything was okay.

Movement feels different.
Kicks can feel softer, later, or harder to find.
People tell you, “You’ll feel it soon,” but for some of us, it doesn’t come like the books say.

It can affect ultrasounds.
It can make certain positions more comfortable.
It can make you feel like you’re not connecting with your baby as early as you hoped, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there.

If you have or had an anterior placenta I feel your pain.
