HAPPY FRIDAY! 🎉 Smile Cookies are rolling out faster than we imagined!

Day #4 was a huge success! We sold 3,560 cookies, bringing our total raised to an incredible $29,512! That’s enough to provide TWO hospital beds with mattresses! 👏👏

Many people don’t realize that fundraisers like these help us purchase vital equipment for our Doctors, Nurses, PSWs, Surgeons, Lab Techs, Radiation Technologists, and all the hardworking staff at our hospital — giving them the tools they need to save lives every day.

Your support truly makes a difference! A heartfelt thank you to our amazing decorators, bakers, and everyone who purchased cookies.

Special shoutout to Tabitha, Plant Manager from Original Foods here in Dunnville, who stopped by to place a HUGE bulk order to support their staff with cookies! Thank you, Original Foods, for your continued support of the Smile Cookie Campaign!

🙏 UPDATE: As of the end of day 3 (yesterday), we’re proudly sitting at #3 in Canada for sales — and the #1 spot is only 2,000 cookies ahead of us! We believe in our community’s spirit, and with your help, we can do this!

🌟 Day #2 of Smile Cookies is complete and we’re still going strong here on Day #3!

Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve raised just over $14,500 at the end of day yesterday — that’s roughly the cost of one hospital bed and mattress! Your generosity is making a real difference for our Hospital and Edgewater Gardens. Dunnville, we couldn’t do it without you! 💖🍪

🍪💖 Our wonderful volunteers yesterday included the Dunnville Rotary Club and MPP Bobbi Ann Brady. We sold cookies at Dunnville Secondary School and we have to give a special shout out to cookie baker extraordinaire Tetje!

🌟 Day #1 of Smile Cookies was a huge success yesterday! Sales at the end of the day were $6,638! That's a lot of cookies for a great cause.

A big thank you to Mayor Bentley, Sharon Moore, President & CEO of HWMH & EG, and Tim's Corporate Team for joining us at the cake cutting ceremony to kick off this sweet week!

🩵 Volunteer Appreciation Week at Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation 🩵

As we reflect on how to honour our incredible volunteers during this special week, we are deeply humbled and inspired by the unwavering support and dedication of those who give so generously of their time and talents.

Our foundation is governed by a passionate board of volunteers who tirelessly share their expertise and commitment, showing up time and again for our community.

We see volunteers at every event ensuring everything runs smoothly, raising vital funds to support our Hospital and Edgewater Gardens, and making a difference in countless ways.

We are grateful for volunteers reviewing our By-Law and Governance practices, ensuring we stay current and compliant.

We admire those baking and decorating cookies tirelessly for a week straight, helping Dunnville become known for having the most sold Smile Cookies in Canada!

Our volunteers on committees like the Gala, Walk, and Golf teams work diligently to plan memorable events that raise essential funds.

We appreciate those sharing their life-saving stories about our hospital, helping us raise awareness and support through mailing campaigns.

The volunteer that comes to the office weekly, folding receipt letters and mailing information with care and dedication.

Some bring in sweet treats to brighten our staff’s day.

And we are especially grateful for those who have been serving the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation for over 10-20 years — continuing to give their time, expertise, and heart.

🌟 Interested in volunteering for Smile Cookies but not sure what it's all about? We've got you covered! 🌟

We welcome volunteers of all skill levels — as long as you can draw two eyes and a smile with minimal effort 😃. Join our fantastic team and be part of the buzz each year as we raise vital funds through cookie sales for the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital & Edgewater Gardens (and maybe even vie for that #1 spot! 😉). A great way for students to get their volunteer hours during our 5 PM - 8 PM evening shift.

Here's what you need to know:
👩‍🎨 Volunteers come to True Experience for a quick tutorial on icing techniques, including how to keep icing warm and the right amount to use on each cookie.
🍪 Opportunities include decorating cookies, bagging, transporting, and baking — all positions are fully trained.
🙌 Your time and effort are truly appreciated! Sitting opportunities are available upon request. If you can't commit to a full 3-hour shift, just let us know — we’re happy to accommodate.
