As I strive to provide healthy and safe footcare for my clients, I am issuing a polite reminder to please notify me if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms of any kind. I will reciprocate the same courtesy and together, we can protect each other by rescheduling appointments. Many of my clients have compromised immune systems, are undergoing chemotherapy, or have diabetes, and for some, a bout of flu could be life-threatening. I was recently absent from work for two weeks in March due to an illness, which I suspect I contracted from a client who was unwell. This resulted in a backlog of appointments, causing inconvenience to my clients. Presently, I am recovering from another viral infection. I am genuinely frustrated with being frequently unwell. Moving forward, in addition to inquiring about flu-like symptoms when confirming appointments, I will also ask clients upon arrival. I will reschedule any appointments with clients who are unwell until they have fully recovered. No exceptions will be made. While 99% of clients will disclose their illness, the remaining 1% pose a risk to everyone. Although contracting illnesses like the flu and other viruses can sometimes be unavoidable, I am committed to minimizing avoidable risks within my practice. I apologize for the lengthy explanation, but I felt it necessary to express my concerns. My goal is to maintain the health and well-being of all my clients, including myself. Please share this notification with others. Sincerely, Arlene
