💘 Celebrating Love & Friendship at Sharon Corners 💘

As we prepare to celebrate Valentine’s Day, we’re reminded that love comes in many beautiful forms. Here at Sharon Corners, it’s not just about couples, it’s also about the meaningful friendships our residents create every day.

Our ladies recently enjoyed a lovely Valentine’s craft activity, where they made festive decorations using hearts and two different types of ribbons. The room was filled with laughter, creativity, and warm conversations as they celebrated love, friendship, and togetherness.

It was truly a joyful time, and we’re so grateful to create moments like these that bring smiles and connection to our community.

This is Ed, one of our residents at The Bentley Yorkton. In his younger years, Ed played university football in Regina before eventually moving to Yorkton. In 1958, the Yorkton Regina High School football team advanced to the Championship Finals, but faced one significant challenge: they had no equipment.

Drawing on his connections in Regina, Ed was able to secure a full set of used gear from the Roughriders, ensuring the high school team could take the field. The leather helmet he’s holding is a cherished memento from that remarkable year.

Along with fellow residents, Ed watched the Roughriders take home the Grey Cup this past weekend.
