🍓Sweet Summer Moments at Sharon Corners Retirement Home!

Our Active Living Manager, Luisa, led a fun and flavorful baking session in our community kitchen! We made homemade strawberry oatmeal bars, a healthy, delicious snack that pairs perfectly with yogurt on a hot summer day.

🧼✨ A Scent-sational Morning at Sharon Corners! ✨🧼

Our residents rolled up their sleeves and got creative at our Natural Soap-Making Class this week and what an amazing time we had!

From scratch, they crafted beautiful, nourishing bars using goat milk, honey, and oatmeal, and designed three unique styles of soap, each as lovely as the next! 🐐🍯🌾

The fun didn’t stop there everyone had a chance to decorate their own soap boxes, turning each creation into a personalized gift or keepsake. 💝

There’s nothing like the joy of hands-on creativity, laughter, and the wonderful smells of natural goodness filling the air. We’re so proud of our talented residents and their handmade masterpieces!

Residents at Venvi Churchill Place were treated to a tasty presentation from a local student entrepreneur. Charlotte, a 15-year-old with a passion for baking, started her business, Grain & Loaf Co, to showcase that healthy can also mean delicious. Specializing in whole grain, good for you baked items, Charlotte is dedicated to bringing fresh, locally sourced, and handcrafted goods to customers.

Joined by her mother and grandmother, Charlotte brought her baked scones, muffins, and challah bread to share with residents, who were inspired by her energy and passion. She shared her story, recounting how she had taught herself to bake through trial and error, experimenting with healthier ingredients to make her treats more nutritious without sacrificing taste.

By the end of the presentation, Charlotte not only shared her delicious baked goods but also forged connections bridging generations through the joy of baking.

🇮🇹 La Dolce Vita at Sharon Corners! 🇮🇹

This past Sunday, we brought a taste of Italy to Sharon Corners with our La Dolce Vita Festival, celebrating Italian culture, food, and community!

From pizza making from scratch with Chef Jordan 🍕, to refreshing gelato, face painting for the kids, and live accordion music, it was a day filled with joy and tradition. A special highlight was the beautiful artwork of Fernanda, one of our very talented residents 🎨.

A heartfelt thank you to Linda, Nadia, and Chef Jordan for creating such an unforgettable experience. And of course, a big grazie to all the family members and friends who joined us, your support and presence made the day truly special.

🐣 Quack-tastic Visitors! 🐥
The day was filled with joy, laughter, and lots of tiny waddling feet! Our residents, staff, and regional manager were all smiles during a special visit from baby ducks.

It was a truly heartwarming experience soothing, sweet, and filled with love. These adorable little guests brought a sense of peace and happiness that touched everyone who met them. 🧡

There’s something magical about animals, and today reminded us just how much joy they bring🦆✨

The Bentley Regina recently celebrated their grand re-opening after months of renovations. Residents were joined by Regina’s Mayor, Chad Bachynski, and other members of the community who were able to enjoy the inviting new spaces. The residence features an ode to The Capitol Theatre and an all-new pub called The Honking Goose Tavern. Guests had the opportunity to sample the Pension Plan Pilsner, a collaboration with The Bentley Regina and Pile O Bones Brewery located in Regina - a true Saskatchewan beer. Residents at Portsmouth retirement residence demonstrated exceptional generosity and community spirit by swiftly raising $700 to aid fire evacuees in Manitoba during a critical state of emergency. Armed with these funds, the Active Living Manager and three of Portsmouth's most enthusiastic shoppers embarked on a mission to Dollarama and Walmart. There, they purchased essential supplies ranging from hygiene products, diapers, and wipes to toiletries, small toys, craft supplies, and individually packaged snacks. Way to go, Portsmouth!
