Proud of these boys for pulling off a big win over the weekend! 🥌💯

We had a great weekend in Grande Prairie and qualified for U18 Provincials in Sylvan Lake in the first week of January! Thanks to Team Kamieniecki for the good games.

My experience in fitness and health began as a young athlete with my interest growing as I gained personal experience in sports and fitness. This led me to seek a career in the health industry which began for me as a personal fitness trainer. I completed a two-year personal fitness trainer diploma at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology allowing me to certify both as Certified Personal Trainer (through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology) and a Corrective Exercise Specialist (from the National Academy of Sports Medicine). Corrective Exercise is a modality used to alleviate impairment while improving performance. This became a leading passion of mine driving me to expand my certifications into Fascial Stretch Therapy while also expanding my scope of practice by obtaining my bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
•
I provide a variety of services ranging from corrective exercise, fascial stretch therapy, and personal fitness training where I major in adaptive physical activity which lends me understanding into chronic diseases and disabilities. I also have personal experience with mental health and find this has awarded me an understanding about the mind-body connection; which I find to be so important to our wellness.
•
Outside of my professional life I enjoy yoga, running, volleyball, slo-pitch, skiing, snowboarding and soccer. If I could, I would spend all my spare time travelling or enjoying the outdoors! I love to hike and am in the process of teaching my lovely bengal cat Leo to enjoy hikes as well.

Chantel has always had a passion for health and personal wellness and has found massage therapy to be wonderful in facilitating positive effects in multiple facets of life. She began her career as a personal trainer in 2012, then later went on to deepen her knowledge and successfully complete her registered massage therapy diploma with Makami College.

She believes in creating a supportive and empowering space for her patients by listening to their specific concerns and working with their current comfort levels. Through the use of a variety of techniques, she works to provide her patients with a treatment tailored to their needs in the moment.

Chantel has always considered herself a student of life and looks forward to expanding her knowledge, skills, and certifications within the realm of massage therapy. She has a growing interest in the areas of trauma informed therapy, fascial techniques, women’s health, dynamic cupping and more.

Chantel currently offers therapeutic and relaxation treatments and has a passion for jaw and neck health, providing introral and external treatments for TMJ distinction.
