Detecting high blood pressure in pregnancy is crucial, as early intervention and monitoring can help reduce maternal and fetal health risks.
Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are the leading cause of maternal deaths in Canada and the most common pregnancy complication.

We plan to monitor participants' blood pressure through a safe and secure app developed by our researchers at the University of Alberta to determine the threshold level of home blood pressure that may predict pregnancy complications.

The study involves monitoring your blood pressure three days per week throughout pregnancy.

You qualify for the study if:
1) Yoy are pregnant,
2) Own a blood pressure machine and a smartphone!

All participation is virtual.
*An honorarium is given after the first screening call*
