Anger is normal, but how you handle it makes a big difference.

There are a lot of signs that you may not be handling your anger in a healthy way. You may act violently towards yourself, others, or property. Or when something unpleasant happens, your reactions feel bigger than the situation calls for.

Learn how to control your anger rather than letting anger control you. Register today for our next Men And Anger class happening May 16: https://tfcna.com/4vNkz5O

This class meets court requirements and is court-approved.

Parenting is a full-time job that requires a lot of energy. If you don't take time to rest and rejuvenate, you'll eventually burn out. And when you're burned out, you're not able to be the best parent you can be. When you carve out regular time for self-care, you will have more energy and patience.

This Mother's Day, we want to emphasize the importance of carving out time for self-care so that you can continue doing this incredible work.

Are you struggling with grief, unhealthy relationships, or 'baby blues'? Has it got you wishing you had someone to lean on who understands what you're going through?

Our therapy groups offer an opportunity to connect with others going through similar situations and work through life's challenges together.

While in individual counselling sessions you focus solely on your concerns, in a group setting you can hear other people’s perspectives, and feel supported by others in a similar situation. A group can help you feel less isolated as you’re going through your struggles.

According to The Assembly of First Nations (AFN), Indigenous women make up 16% of all female homicide victims, and 11% of missing women, yet Indigenous people make up only 4.3% of the population of Canada.

Today on National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls & Two-Spirit People, also known as , we draw attention to the high rates of disappearances and violent crimes against Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit folks, as well as against young men and boys across Canada.

We make space today to mourn and acknowledge the grief of many families affected by the loss of their daughters, mothers, sisters, aunties and grandmothers.

Honouring this day is just one of many steps The Family Centre is taking to becoming wîcihtâsowak, “people who come to help” and support Indigenous community members in their journey to living miyo pimâtisiwin or “the good life”.

Mental health isn’t just about what we’re dealing with individually — it’s also about how connected we feel to one another.

This week, CMHA’s Mental Health Week is calling on all of us to Come Together, Canada. Through small, everyday actions of connection, we can strengthen mental health, reduce loneliness, and build healthier communities. Because connection strengthens mental health.

So how do you connect? CMHA has a quiz you can take here: https://cmha70.outgrow.us/cmha70-19
