People of all ages and personalities experience anger, but how we respond to it varies from person to person.

When anger becomes an issue, you may start holding in negative thoughts, taking your negativity out on others, or acting impulsively.

Our Men and Anger workshop provides hands-on ways to deal with anger so you can have positive relationships and address conflict in a healthy way.

This , let’s try to start saying “thank you.”

Practicing gratefulness can help boost your confidence and improve your mood.

Plus, recognizing a loved one's kindness makes them feel good, too!

Our team is coming up on the end of our workplace fundraising campaign for the United Way, and we are so proud of our progress!

To-date, we have raised $31,137 for key initiatives in and around Edmonton.

These donations are already at work:
- Funding culturally sensitive mental health support to help break stigma
- Helping students stay in school and graduate through wraparound supports
- Empowering people to strengthen their financial future and feel more confident about their money

Way to go, team!

Sharing your feelings in a positive way makes it easier for your partner to understand your experience. You are not attacking; instead, you are creating an opportunity for a more respectful conversation.

Focus on how you feel and what’s going on for you, rather than accusing your partner. A helpful technique is to use “I” statements. Try “I feel anxious when plans change suddenly” instead of “You make me anxious when you change plans.”

Thanks to funding from the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region , our team is able to support the All in for Youth program, a first-of-its-kind local initiative focuses on getting children and youth successfully through their education years and on to high school completion.

61.6% of students who spend 3+ years in this program completed high school. That's a 27.4% increase compared to students with similar social demographics.

Education is the foundation for a bright future. This is how we at The Family Centre help .
