It's one thing to go through struggles and it's another to recognize and be able to reflect. There can be triumphs and achievements throughout life and rarely, if ever, is it a trajectory of a straight line. There will be ups and downs, ease, and struggles, and what comes with that is adaptation. First and foremost, you need to step back and be proud of your accomplishments, of how far you have come, of all that you have learned, and the growth that has taken place.
"Your workout today will one day become your warm-up" I like this one because that signifies GROWTH. What seems hard today, will one day be easy.

New post on the blog. Today marks 4 weeks since my epic mountain biking fail onto the famous Whale Tail that left me with a separated shoulder that was known as a Rockwood III with complete tears of my AC and CC ligaments. Now I am on the road to recovery and working hard to get back on my bike ripping it up on the trails with my boys. Shoulder injuries can be debilitating, limiting your range of motion and hindering your daily activities. Fortunately, there are effective methods for recovering from shoulder injuries and regaining strength and flexibility. Myofascial release and lengthening techniques have gained recognition as valuable tools in the rehabilitation process. In this blog, we will explore how these techniques can help you on your journey to recover from a shoulder injury and improve your range of motion.

Ensuring an adequate daily intake of water is of utmost importance for various reasons. These include maintaining optimal body temperature regulation, promoting joint lubrication, reducing the risk of infections, facilitating the transportation of nutrients to cells, and supporting proper organ functionality. Additionally, maintaining proper hydration levels contributes to improved sleep quality, enhanced cognitive abilities, and better mood.

Some negative impacts when the body is dehydrated.
Dehydration can have a significant impact on the body. When the body is dehydrated, it doesn't have enough fluid to carry out its normal functions, which can lead to a range of negative effects, including:
1. Fatigue and exhaustion: Dehydration can make you feel tired and sluggish.
2. Reduced physical performance: Dehydration can impact athletic performance,
causing muscle cramps, decreased endurance, and decreased strength.
3. Mental confusion: Dehydration can affect cognitive function, causing confusion
and difficulty concentrating.
4. Headaches: Dehydration can lead to headaches and migraines.
5. Constipation: Dehydration can make stools harder and more difficult to pass.

My WHY to becoming a Personal Fitness Trainer.
I believe in longevity. And I truly believe that everyone deserves a life of longevity, one that is full of adventures. I didn’t know it at the time, however it all started when creating a family of my own, I wanted longevity to witness and relish in the lives of my children. My adventure continued with me becoming certified in Holistic Nutrition. I wanted to help people feel better. I wanted to help people embrace nutritious foods that can provide support to their bodies and fuel all of their life’s adventures. BUT I knew I wasn’t done with learning and gaining more powerful knowledge and I wanted more to offer. I wanted to offer ways to support the body through movement. Through physical activity and through fitness. So, I am enroute and currently finishing up NAIT’s Personal Fitness Trainer program.
We know that nutrition compliments the moving body and the body is made to move. Improving one’s strength can enhance and enrich the quality of life. It can improve performance in sports, everyday activities, and most of all, improve and enhance performance in all of life’s adventures.
Coming this December 2023, please join me for Nutritional Adventures AND Performance guides in providing holistic nutrition and fitness. I can’t wait to be your guide!
