Elves Special Needs Society is a non-profit organization that offers education, respite, and alternative-to-work day programming to children, youth, and adults. Elves serves all ability levels, and specializes in supporting learners with speech delays, fine/gross motor delays, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Elves School is a Designated Special Education

Program (DSEP) accredited by Alberta Education which offers Early Childhood Services (preschool and kindergarten) and Grades 1-12. Our school has been in operation since 1973. The Adult Program was initiated in 1985 to meet the needs of students reaching adulthood. Elves' multidisciplinary team consists of Certified Teachers, Instructors, Educational Assistants, Nurses (RN's, LPN's), Occupational and Physical Therapists, Therapy Assistants, Speech Language Pathologists, Early Education/Special Needs/Proactive Behavioural Consultation, Principal, Adult Program Director, and Family Support Workers. While Elves monitors its social networks it does not do so 24 hours a day. It’s possible that an inappropriate comment will not be seen right away and we trust our community to have the maturity to ignore personal attacks and negative material or respond politely. Today, at around 12:30, a fire alarm was activated at our Adult & Youth Centre. The building has been thoroughly cleared by firefighters, and we can confirm that everything is now safe. There is no cause for concern. However, as a precautionary measure, we have taken steps to address the issue and prevent any potential future incidents. Pull covers have been ordered, and we are currently awaiting their arrival.

Today at 11:20 am, a fire alarm went off at our Adult & Youth Centre. The building has been cleared by firefighters, and everything is now safe. If any children left personal items behind, they will be returned tomorrow.
