SATHER REID SPOTLIGHT
Sports physiotherapist Stephanie and Kinesiology student Julia would like to take a moment to highlight a very special 16 year old young man.
Kieran came to our clinic 3 months ago after a very serious fracture in his tibia from a ski accident in February 2025.
After 8 surgeries due to many complications, he suffered yet another fracture in his tibia only 2 weeks after the hardware was removed.
He was given the green light to start rehab in January 2026 and has been hard at work doing his physiotherapy exercise program.
In less than 3 months, he has gone from not being able to walk very well, to getting back on the ice skating, to hopping, and jumping. His plan is to return to playing hockey in the fall for his final year of minor hockey.
Way to go Kieran, you are an inspiration to us all. We are so proud of you!

Admin Summit Day
Behind every smooth clinic day is a team of people coordinating schedules, helping patients, solving problems, and keeping everything moving.
Yesterday was about bringing our admin team together to talk about our vision, expectations, and how we continue building a clinic culture that supports both our staff and our patients.

🌟 ASM SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Today we spotlight Siobhan, Ginny, and Marina who all recently competed in the Canadian National Irish Dance Competition.

Our physiotherapist Stephanie Dumont has been the team physiotherapist for the Mattierin School of Irish Dance since 2017 and has helped keep these dancers in tip top shape along the way!

Over the weekend, Marina placed 1st in U8, Ginny placed 3rd in U11, and Siobhan placed 1st in U21. 🏅

HUGE congratulations to you all! What an amazing showing!

✨ ASM SPOTLIGHT: BLAIR ✨

Blair graduated from the University of Toronto in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and then returned to the University of Waterloo to complete his bachelor of science in Kinesiology in 1984.

In 1992 he became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT). Studying under Dr. Steven Aung, Blair received a  Diploma in Medical Acupuncture in 1998 from the University of Alberta.

Blair has a special interest in treating runners (he has  run the Boston Marathon) and tennis players (he was half of the Ontario Under 18 mens’ double team when you played with wooden rackets and the balls were white) in addition to musicians.

Prior to starting at Advantage Sport Physiotherapy Blair worked at the Glen Sather Sports Medicine clinic for 30 years.
