Today we wear pink to stand against bullying and promote kindness. For families with children who have behavioural or developmental differences, this message hits close to home.

We see children who are misunderstood, judged, or excluded because they communicate differently. We support families who face stigma instead of compassion. This stops when we choose understanding over judgment.

Kindness means:
- Learning about differences instead of fearing them
- Creating inclusive spaces for all children
- Supporting families without judgment
- Speaking up when others face exclusion

Build the confidence and skills you need to handle crisis situations with care. Our Non-Violent Crisis De-escalation Training is designed specifically for caregivers of individuals with high support needs.

This evidence-based program emphasizes prevention, communication, and staying calm, with physical techniques taught only as a last resort. Over two days, you'll gain practical strategies through a mix of virtual learning (Day One) and in-person skills training at our South Edmonton location (Day Two).

You'll join a supportive community of caregivers, reduce injury risk, and earn certification aligned with Alberta Council of Disability Services standards. Certification renewal is required every 3 years.

Looking for an inclusive story time experience for your little one?

Check out Adapted Story Time at your local library! This sensory-friendly program welcomes children ages 2-5 and their families for 30 minutes of interactive songs, rhymes, and engaging stories in a supportive environment.

Children can bring their favourite blanket, stuffie, or fidget toys. There's no pressure to sit still or participate in any particular way. Every child is encouraged to engage however feels right for them!
