What is massage therapy?
According to the dictionary, it is the systematic application of massage to treat muscle pain or dysfunction, but it is so much more. Massage has so many benefits; for example, it helps reduce stress, increase relaxation, reduce anxiety, improve circulation and energy, lower heart rate and blood pressure, as well as, improve immune function, and so much more.

Massage therapy isn’t a luxury; it is a necessity. Whether you sit behind a desk or are more active throughout your day, you’ll benefit from massage therapy.

Hi everyone!
Let me introduce myself, to those that don't know me. My name is Bryanne Royer, I'm a newly started massage therapist who graduated from MacEwan University

I get asked often, what made you want to become an RMT?
To be honest it wasn't my first choice. After high school, I first went into secondary education with a major in science and a minor in math and I completed 2.5 years. Then took a semester off. Growing up we always been active with dance and sports. Had a couple of injuries that led me to get chiropractic adjustments, some physiotherapy, and eventually my first massage. All this started my curiosity in the human body After taking a semester off I knew I didn't want to start a completely new 4-year program. Much thought and research went into what I should do next. then found and applied to the massage therapy program. I loved learning about human anatomy and being able to use my hands.

What I enjoy about being an RMT?
I’ve always wanted to do something that helps people. Being able to take someone’s pain/discomfort away is very rewarding. Every patient is different which brings a new challenge that I enjoy.

What do I offer?
Relaxation, Therapeutic treatments with different types of techniques: Swedish, PNF, myofascial work, hydrotherapy, trigger point work, and recently cupping.

Where do I work?
Currently, I do work at two different clinics. One is called Off Whyte Chiropractic and Health (OWCH) located at 7105 104st. To make an appointment call 780-430-5909
