This morning’s Coffee with the Chamber was such a meaningful way to begin Tourism Week (April 20–24) here in Edmonton. ☕✨

As an Indigenous tourism operator, this week is very special to me. Tourism is not just about travel—it’s about connection, culture, storytelling, and community. It supports so many businesses across Edmonton, the surrounding region, Alberta, and our entire country… and it supports families like mine.

Today’s Tourism Week Kickoff, in partnership with Explore Edmonton and the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, brought together an incredible group of business leaders, tourism partners, and community champions. It was inspiring to be in a room filled with people who are all working to showcase Edmonton as a vibrant and welcoming destination.

Held at Parallèle Alberta, this event highlighted the many individuals and organizations who are helping drive economic growth through tourism. Every experience, every business, and every story shared plays an important role in creating something truly special for visitors and our community.

I am so grateful to be part of this growing tourism community. Let’s continue to support local, uplift one another, and celebrate the stories that connect us all. 💫

This Easter weekend, I’m reminded of the true meaning of connection, family, and the beauty of life coming full circle.

Waking up to the quiet presence of my grandson, so thoughtful and gentle, brought back cherished memories of raising my own children. Now, through the next generation, those moments are being lived again in a new and meaningful way. 💙

Tonight’s Pink Full Moon marks the first full moon of spring—a powerful time of renewal, awakening, and new beginnings. In Indigenous teachings, this moon aligns with the reawakening of Mother Earth. The snow begins to melt, the waters begin to flow, and life returns to the land. It is a time of growth, fertility, and planting seeds—not just in the earth beneath us, but within our spirits.

This moon invites us to release what no longer serves us and step forward with clarity, intention, and purpose. Just as the Earth is coming alive again, so too are we.

Today is World Water Day 💧

What does clean water mean to you?

For many of us, it’s something we use every single day without a second thought — to drink, cook, and bathe in….Water is life.

But the reality is, many Indigenous communities across Canada are still living without reliable access to safe, clean water.

As of March 2026:
• 39 long-term drinking water advisories remain across 37 First Nations communities
• Some have lasted over 25 years
• Waterborne illnesses occur at significantly higher rates
• Many families are still without consistent access to running water

This is not just a statistic — it’s a reality that needs our attention and action.

This is why I created Nipiy.

Our Wild Mint Nipiy and Wild Rose Nipiy are premium sparkling waters made with intention, inspired by the land and our sacred plant medicines. With every can, a portion of proceeds supports clean water initiatives for Indigenous communities.
