I wish I could offer you some magic hack 🔮

That would make birth easy.
That would make it “safe”
That could make it like nothing.

But to become a mother. You have to wrestle. You have to struggle. You have to lowkey die and come back again.

So the things I did - they might work for one mom. And they might not work for another!

But believing in your body and baby, that’s all YOU.

Our labour and births? Genetically passed down. Out of our control. See it as a fun start. A new beginning!

That’s a wrap 2025 🎀

This year was amazing. Honestly. So much happened. Tears of joy and sadness. Hands of hope and tiny finger nails. I’m blessed 🤍

I didn’t mention the countless coffees, 49k kilometres on my car added and the labour room I flooded once 😵‍💫😅

So cheers to 2026!

If you’re due from May - June or just finding out about September babies, HIT ME UP 🥰🤭🤍

you’re 4, the snow is 7ft tall, grandma lets you eat whatever you want and Santa came with the Pokémon stuffie you asked for. life is too good. merry christmas friends 🤍

I don’t want your future holidays to revolve around birth trauma 😭😭

When birthdays coincide with big holidays - it totally can be hard!! But you know what’s harder, when Christmas reminds you of the day you and your baby were violated. Separated.

But if we treat our pregnancy coming ending like an evacuation that can happen when WE pick - it can make it even harder!

Because the spiral of interventions.
Because C-section and induction rates are proven to be higher this week.
Because your baby deserves to be in control too.

If deemed medically necessary - GIVER!
If deemed annoyed to have a Christmas birthday, maybe second guess that choice. There are no induction police 😘

Saturday Sister Advice 🥰👶🏻

I regret so much about my postpartum. From Costco at day 2 to letting my partner go back to work way to soon - I know so much more for the next time 🙌🏼

So here’s my advice, straight from the heart. Drop any tips you have for parents below ⬇️

we are never actually off call 🥸

preeclampsia is real and dangerous.
sometimes we have to switch plans!
sometimes it’s hard. and not what we want.
but that’s why you have a doula who has your back 🤍

Doulas - always have back up planned for Christmas holidays if you’re travelling! 🎅🎉🏃🏼‍♀️

the only body fluid I don’t enjoy is boogers 🤪

and motherhood instantly pushed me past that fear. and being an HCA in a locked ward before before becoming a doula also really helped 🔐
