Sue me I want to be wanted 😭🏥

Because once I’ve been led into the operating room, I’ve seen the actual physical difference. It plays on these people’s births!!

Because I’m pretty much the only person on the care team that sees the family pre-fertility all the way to through to the end of postpartum!

Because I know how big this Birth experience is now for them and I know that they are going to need support and help processing.

Because if every third person is having a C-section, why aren’t doulas AND midwives allowed into the OR as support people for the family?

I know they have the space and the capacity. I am happy to create a training. Our doula families want our support and they deserve it, especially if it’s unplanned and traumatic 🤍

Yes they did!! Because they do their style of birth everyday!

Where 90% of clients get epidurals.
Where 90% go with the flow of medicalized birth.
Where it doesn’t feel safe to be that 10% of wanting different for your experience!!

I’ve been there. I’ve seen it. I’ve warned clients. And on the other side each time they say “wow we are so glad we had you and will 1000% get a midwife and aim for a different hospital” EACH. TIME. 😂🥲🥲🥲🥲

So choose wisely.

Hate to break it to you queen 🫥

That’s not VBAC supportive. That’s VBAC tolerant.

That’s control.
That’s bait and switches.
That’s expectations. ON THINGS WE CANT CONTROL.

I can understand not wanting clients to go past 42 weeks, but before 40 weeks is a wild card chance as majority of people go between that 40 week & 41+4 week mark!!

We want a hospital with waterproof & Bluetooth monitors that support movement and utilizing hydrotherapy 🩵😍

We want communication.
Personalized risk assessment.
Doula support in the OR if we get there 😌
