This perspective changed things for me.

Mothering young children can be a lot. It’s tiring, you give to your children so much all day.

When I realized that it was my motherhood too, I started asking myself:

✨ what are the things that make me enjoy motherhood? ✨

Simple things like:
🌳Getting outside for a walk with my kids
🛍️Having a date to the mall with my girls
📖Reading and drinking tea with my kids before bed

Making sure I plan for and make space in my days/ months/ years for these simple things that bring me joy has really helped my mindset and mental health in motherhood.

In Ayurveda, self-care and healing during the postpartum period are crucial for recovery, nourishment, and restoration of balance.

The phantom cries!!!

Maybe it’s just me but I find myself hearing a baby crying at night even when there isn’t one.

Even now the other night I thought my 3 year old was crying and he wasn’t.

I didn’t realize this would happen in motherhood or that it would still be happening with a toddler.
