Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) is the leading cause of visual impairment in children. Unlike eye conditions that affect the eyes directly, CVI is caused by the brain’s difficulty processing visual information.

Children with CVI may have perfectly healthy eyes, but their brain struggles to interpret what they see. This can affect how they recognize faces, follow movement, or make sense of their environment.

🕶️ Protect Your Eyes from the Sun! ☀️

Just like your skin, your eyes need protection from harmful UV rays. Prolonged sun exposure can increase the risk of cataracts, macular degeneration, and even eye sunburn (yes, that’s a thing!).

✅ Wear 100% UV-blocking sunglasses
✅ Add a wide-brimmed hat for extra shade
✅ Avoid direct sunlight during peak hours (10am–4pm)

InMode dry eye treatment is a non-invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to address dry eye symptoms caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). One of our Dry Eye Experts use the InMode wand by gently heating the eyelids to melt and express the thickened oils that clog the meibomian glands, which can improve tear film quality and reducing dry eye discomfort.

This may be an option for you that is recommended by one of our optometrist. We offer this treatment conveniently in our office, with all the technology to accurately diagnose Dry Eye Disease!
