Aneesha Bains is a Registered Psychologist (6468) with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).

Aneesha firmly believes in cultivating a space for unheard voices; and a safe space for clients to explore themselves, and the deepest parts of their minds.

In session you can expect connection, humor, respect, understanding, compassion, and for her to hold hope for you until you’re ready to hold it yourself.

Aneesha approaches all clients with a compassion-focused, attachment-based lens and holds specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Integrative Somatic Parts Work, and Mood regulation Skills for depression. Additionally, she uses a variety of other modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Abeer is a mental health therapist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the American University of Beirut (2016), where she also completed a one-year internship working with underserved and vulnerable populations. Her approach to therapy is open-minded, flexible, and grounded in the belief that people are the experts in their own lives.

Drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, including person-centered therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Abeer gently tailors each session to meet her clients where they are.

Abeer is deeply committed to making mental health care more equitable and accessible, especially for those who face systemic or cultural barriers to receiving support. She is fluent in both Arabic and English and brings a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed lens to her work.
