Check out our June calendar! We have lots to look forward to next month as we celebrate summer, with many opportunities for outdoor leisure, gardening, and meaningful community connection. ☀️🪴

Thursday, June 4th – Entertainment with Band of Brothers (Seniors Week Celebration)
June 2 & 3 – Outdoor planting in the courtyard and on the house balconies
Wednesday, June 10th – The Doll Club of Edmonton visit on 2nd Floor

Thursday, June 18th – Classic Car Show, live music & food truck in the Parking Lot Choco N' Dip Mainstreet Crusers Car Club

Saturday, June 20th – Fiddle performance by a resident’s grandsons
Monday, June 30th – Outdoor picnic lunch at the lake

We were so grateful to welcome the students and music teacher from Michael Strembitsky School for a special performance yesterday morning.

From some Beatles songs and Elvis Presley favorites to a beautiful hand bell choir performance and a sing-along at the end, the room was filled with energy, smiles, and applause.

Thank you to the students and their incredible teacher for sharing your talents and creating such meaningful moments for everyone. We truly enjoyed this experience! 💛

🎶 Sunday afternoon, we were honored to welcome the "Faith In Action Choir" from The Bible Pentecostal Church for a beautiful afternoon of gospel music, spirituality, and fellowship.

Residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed the uplifting songs, heartfelt harmonies, and meaningful messages shared throughout the performance. Music and prayer can bring a deep sense of comfort, joy, connection, and reflection, and this visit truly touched the hearts of many. 💙

A sincere thank you to the choir members for sharing your time, faith, talents, and kindness with our community. The performance brought warmth and inspiration to our home, and we are so grateful for the special afternoon together.

🎯 AXE THROWING SHOWDOWN! 🎯

Team Red ❤️ and Team Blue 💙 battled it out during Friday’s axe throwing challenge! After an afternoon full of bullseyes, laughter, teamwork, and cheering each other on, the competition ended in an exciting tie! 👏

Residents and staff showed off their competitive spirit, focus, coordination, and teamwork while creating so many fun memories together. Recreation therapy programs like this encourage social connection, confidence, physical activity, and meaningful engagement — all while having a blast!

Safe to say we discovered quite a few athletes (and future lumberjacks 🪓😉)!
