Today we honour National Ribbon Skirt Day 🧡

Ribbon skirts are more than beautiful garments, they are powerful symbols of strength, identity, resilience, and pride. Each ribbon skirt carries stories, teachings, and histories passed down through generations, honouring Indigenous women and the spirit of our communities.

Today we celebrate our beautiful culture, and uplift Indigenous voices. We reaffirm our commitment to respect, inclusion, and belonging, and to creating spaces where all Indigenous individuals feel safe, valued, and proud to wear their cultural items and express who they are.

With gratitude and respect, we honour the past, celebrate the present, and walk forward together. 🧡

Step into a supportive Indigenous-led men’s group created to uplift, encourage, and empower. Guided by two exceptional facilitators with experience working with men throughout Turtle Island, this group offers a safe place to share, learn, and grow.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Heart Spirit client holiday celebration yesterday 🤍

It was truly beautiful to gather together, share space, laughter, and connection. Your presence, warmth, and support are what make our community so special, and we are deeply grateful to walk alongside each of you.

A special thank you to the Aboriginal Seniors Centre for so generously allowing us to use their space, we are incredibly appreciative of your kindness and support.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to Elders Dr. Francis Whiskeyjack and Elsey Gauthier for providing ceremony and prayer, and for grounding our gathering in such meaningful ways.

Thank you as well to the cooks for the care, time, and love you put into preparing our amazing meal, it truly nourished both body and spirit.

Wishing you all a season filled with love, reflection, and gentle moments.
