General information
Shortly before the birth of my beautiful son, my eyes were opened to the issue of birth. The empowerment that I felt after my birth experience was powerful and euphoric. I felt a strength that I had never anticipated in myself and while it wasn't what I would call my "perfect" birth, it changed me. It also brought forth the realization that not all births leave a woman feeling mighty and ecstatic; that some women become lost in the intensely complicated process that is navigating the "birthing industry" and the many obstacles it can present. My goal is to offer support, knowledge, advocacy and empowerment during this very precious time, whether the birth be the first, the last, homebirth, hospital birth, C-section, VBAC, breech, twins and beyond. Every woman deserves to feel in control of her labour and birth.
