This month, we’re excited to spotlight Rogelio Boxing in Builders Park! Owned by Roger Redoble, Rogelio Boxing brings more than 27 years of martial arts experience to the community, including Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

Roger launched Rogelio Boxing in 2014, and Builders Park is proud to be home to his first official location. Throughout his coaching career, he has worked with many special athletes and continues to create a welcoming, high-energy environment for all skill levels.

Today, Rogelio Boxing offers recreational classes where you can enjoy the conditioning, drills, and workout experience of boxing — without sparring. And if you stop by for a class, you may even get to meet Rogelio Boxing’s mascot, Bernie!

Last week, members of the Qualico Properties leadership team gathered in Kananaskis for our managers retreat — a chance to strengthen cross-regional relationships, step away from the day-to-day, and spend focused time learning alongside one another.

A key part of the retreat was a half-day session centred on Gallup’s CliftonStrengths assessment. Together, we explored how our individual strengths shape the way we lead, communicate, solve problems, and contribute to our teams. It was a valuable opportunity to better understand not only ourselves, but also the people we work with across the organization.

The retreat also created space for meaningful conversation, shared meals, and time outdoors in a beautiful setting. These moments matter. They help build trust, deepen connection, and remind us of the strength of the team behind the work we do every day.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to come together, reflect, and return to our teams with renewed energy and appreciation for the people who make Qualico Properties what it is.

What an engaging day at the Edmonton Real Estate Forum.

We were proud to have our Senior Vice President, Mike Saunders, and our Vice President of National Leasing and Sales, Jeff Sutherland, share their experience, industry insights, and perspectives with attendees during today’s panel discussions.

Their contributions amongst fellow panelists helped highlight key trends, opportunities, and important conversations shaping the real estate landscape in Edmonton and beyond. It was a valuable opportunity to connect with industry leaders, exchange ideas, and take part in such an engaging forum.

Mike joined fellow panelists in discussing how Edmonton can balance greenfield development and infill to support affordability, migration, economic momentum, and sustainable urban growth. The conversation also addressed common misconceptions about development costs and infrastructure, while exploring policy solutions to help ensure the city continues to grow in a balanced, forward-thinking way.

Jeff participated in a discussion on the current state of Edmonton’s retail sector, sharing insights on creative strategies to attract tenants, repurpose vacant spaces downtown and on Whyte Avenue, and adapt retail properties to meet the evolving needs of businesses and shoppers.

The Switch has reached 95% leased, officially marking stabilization for this 285-unit residential community in downtown Edmonton.

This is a meaningful milestone for Qualico Properties, for Station Lands, and for the continued growth of Edmonton’s downtown core.

From the beginning, The Switch was envisioned as more than a place to live. It was designed to bring more people, energy, and momentum to the heart of the city, while supporting the continued evolution of Station Lands as a connected, mixed-use district. Located steps from Roundhouse Park, one of Edmonton’s newest downtown parks, The Switch gives residents access to a growing public realm that supports gathering, connection, and everyday urban life.

Downtowns thrive when people choose to live there. More residents support more services, create more street-level activity, and help build the everyday vibrancy that makes a core feel alive. With hundreds of residents now calling Station Lands home, The Switch is contributing to that momentum in a visible way.

We had a great time taking part in JLL’s Annual Charity Basketball Tournament last Thursday, and we thought we’d bring you along so you could see what we got up to. Huge shoutout to Brodie, Andrew and Byron for giving it their all on the court. We hope you enjoy our expert game commentary — and we already can’t wait to be back next year, hopefully after brushing up on the rules and recruiting a few more teammates to join us.
