Starting the new year of work and sporting my new Irlen’s lenses! Such a relief for my brain. Apparently I was meant to see the world through rose coloured glasses 🤓 is a sensory integration issue with light and it interferes with the brain’s capacity to focus while reading, writing and various activities as well as affecting proprioception. I’ve had this my whole life and just didn’t know what it was. The relief is life changing. I am grateful to have the awareness to discern the difference between trauma response and stress in my brain.

Emma Cranston my lovely daughter is having a Christmas pop up sale of her winter collection November 26th at Aidem Marketing’s showroom in Edmonton. See poster for details! Please come visit and do some Christmas shopping! There are many different items including a variety of mugs, pour over sets, vases, butter dishes, plant pots, platters, chip and dip platers, bowls various sizes, candle pots with homemade fir scented beeswax candles from Bear and Ro, cups various sizes, to go cups with straws, night lights, spoon rests, Christmas ornaments and more! There will be a local homemade doughnut vendor, local sourced coffee, chocolate bombs and of course our stellar company 🥰

A time to commune with the spirit of our ancestors as they come to es**rt the restless or earthbound spirits back to the light. A candle lit in a pumpkin lights the way for our ancestors to return to the light.

My first attempt at Sashiko mending. I made an agreement not to buy any new clothes for a year as part of my commitment to the slow fashion movement. Mending is a way to make what I have last longer and not end up in a mountain of clothing garbage. I am pleased with my patch job! It was relaxing to stitch by hand. Something that could be done n community also.
