From being bloated every day, struggling + feeling like my body was broken to eating the foods I love, having consistent digestion + feeling confident + free in my body again.

When I “got serious” about fixing my gut in my mid-20s, I had the discipline, the motivation + I was eating “healthier” than anyone I knew.⁣

I seriously thought this was going to be an easy win. Oh boy was I wrong…⁣

I spent all of my time, money + energy on fermented foods, meal plans, macro counting, intense workouts, cutting dairy, cutting gluten + Googling every symptom late into the night...

My first big failure? I was doing everything “right”… + my bloating got WORSE.

So I thought, “I just need to try harder,” + by the end of the next year, I was exhausted, frustrated, confused + honestly embarrassed that nothing was working.⁣

I was restricting food, tracking obsessively, over-exercising, skipping meals before social events, feeling totally out of control around snacks… + still would end up bloated. 🤯

In my early 20s, I was… honestly? A nightmare about my gut.

Uptight, rigid, hyper-controlled. The girl who brought her own food everywhere because one “wrong” ingredient would leave me bloated, gassy, or curled up in pain.

The perfectionist in me is quietly panicking over the lighting in these photos 🫠…it’s not it

BUT as a homeschooling mom of 4 with zero childcare, I’m actually proud of myself for posting anyway — and for sticking to my 30-Minute Meals in 30 Days challenge 🙌

Here’s the criteria for every meal:
• High protein 🤝 balanced blood sugar 🤝 happy mom + kids
• Minimal dishes — if I have to wash 12 pots, it’s not a quick meal 😅
• Variety of proteins to keep things interesting + have a variety of nutrients :)
• Good enough to keep in rotation
• Truly 30 minutes — not those “30-minute” recipes that secretly take 2 hours 👀
• Great leftovers (tomorrow-me says thank you🙏🏻)

Note: the 30 minutes refers to prep time. Some meals are fully done in 30; others prep fast and then cook hands-off.

❌they aren’t doing endless hours of cardio

📸 they love getting their picture taken (and aren’t hiding from the camera, a filter or behind their friends)

🍫they can say no to treats + can stop without going out of control?! (without going home to eat all of the chips afterward)

✈️ they’re travelling + eating ALL the good food 🤯⁣

⁣You think to yourself:

“I wish this was me but what am I missing?!”...⁣

One of the biggest questions I get is "If I don't eat XYZ, will I still have enough options in The Good Gut Method?"

People think that they HAVE to eat certain foods when they do The Good Gut Method.

But the truth is, you don’t HAVE to do anything to follow The Good Gut Method.

It is 100% your choice if you decide to include dairy, sugar, juice, saturated fat or any of the foods typically touted as “bad” or “inflammatory” in the Good Gut Method.

The whole purpose of The GGM is to provide education on how to eat for optimal health and for YOUR body. I’ll provide you with the tools you need to help you follow your intuition and intention to implement the things I teach. (we all are unique after all ;))

Many of you are avoiding foods like dairy (an extremely nutrient dense food) when in reality it’s typically OTHER factors causing you to react to dairy.

When your metabolism is sluggish or your gut health is compromised it can be hard to digest dairy (and other foods) - it’s as simple as that!

That is why the GGM teaches you principles like meal timing and eating after 7pm (the horror i know ;)) I teach principals to take stress OFF of the body so you can tolerate more of the foods you LOVE! Rather than your body constantly trying to come up with energy - I’ll help you support your body so it can use the energy FROM your food EASILY to speed up your metabolism and fix your gut!

And if it’s a food you just don’t like… in other words, you feel like you are a picky eater - you are an adult after all ;) sometimes that means trying new things! especially if you expect your kids to follow suit and “eat healthy” or have a healthy relationship with their food.)

But real talk….. If you are vegan and not willing to add animal foods to your diet then in this case, the GGM isn’t for you. Many coaches will cater to ALL diet preferences. That is not me. I won’t just tell you what you want to hear. I want you to get the BEST results…so if you are willing to include animal products, you will be well on your way ;)

There is a reason why I implement animal products. I’ve seen the life-changing benefits of doing so! …if the way you are eating isn’t working for your body (you have long lists of food sensitivities, bloating, and tummy troubles…) your body is trying to tell you something ;) It is usually a sign something you are doing/or the diet you are following isn’t working.

Back at the height of my digestive issues,

Are you living in the “thens”?

With anxiety around food, feeling like you are trapped in this life?

I thought I would always have to be the girl who ate diet foods, who always had to eat cleaner to feel better (cauliflower can be made into anything right?!😆), to exercise harder to be healthier.

Living according to health standards that still made me feel trapped, weighed down + out of control🫠

I cut out all these foods, and all these swaps that were supposed to be “healthy”…

But I wasn’t truly LIVING.

This is why I *cringe* whenever I hear someone say I need to cut out gluten, dairy + sugar cuz I’m sensitive or cuz they are inflammatory.

Then when they remove foods…

They’re free of their symptoms - (mayyyybe? For a while…)

But why does that matter if you’re still feeling restricted + emotionally trapped by the fact that you have to cut out gluten, dairy, sugar, grains…. to feel okay?

TRUE freedom looks like a diet that feels so aligned that you don’t have to drain all your energy + will power to stick to it.

TRUE freedom looks like a sustainable diet that makes you feel empowered + so great in your body that you don’t have to miss out on any of the fun!
