Amazing breast augmentation revision results! This patient had saline implants that were causing her issues with visible rippling on the sides, and issues with the implants falling to the sides and sitting too low. She wanted fuller breasts with a higher upper pole and wanted to narrow the space between her breasts. She underwent implant exchange to larger silicone gummy bear implants (to decrease the risk for visible rippling of the implants) and major implant scar pocket revision to get the implants to sit closer together. We are so happy with her results! 🥰

Mommy Makeover Alert! 🚒🔥

Procedures:

1). Revision breast augmentation with implant exchange from saline to extra-full projection silicone cohesive gel with major capsule revision for implant malposition, breast lift
2). Abdominoplasty ("tummy tuck") with re**us muscle tightening

This 35-year-old patient had prior breast implants in the subpectoral plane (under the muscle) placed through an incision in the belly button (surgery done elsewhere a number of years ago). After having children she developed sagging of her breasts. She also had implant animation (major movement of her implants with use of chest muscles) and issues with rippling on the sides of the implants related to thin breast tissue and saline implants. She did not like that her implants were too far to the side of her chest (especially when lying down).

Her implant pockets (what helps hold the implant in place) needed major revision with closing the side pocket and opening the central pocket for better cleavage and less shifting to the side. A breast lift removed excess skin and reshaped the breasts over the implants.

She is shown before surgery and at 3 months after surgery. She is ecstatic with her results! 🔥🔥😍😍

Closing the gap!

This lovely patient had previous breast augmentation under the muscle. She disliked the wide space between her breasts and that her implants were too high on her chest (giving an oval appearance to her breast with natural breast tissue loosely hanging over an implant that was sitting too high).

An implant exchange and major implant pocket revision lowered the implant to the actual breast position, creating a rounder, more natural appearance and narrowed the breast spacing. She's thrilled with her results! 😍😍

Awesome result for this lovely patient! 🥰

After losing weight, she underwent a breast lift with implants in another country. Her implants were far too high (never dropped) and her breast tissue drooped over the implants (even with a lift that was done with her implants) leading to a less than desirable result.

She underwent a revision breast lift, implant exchange and major implant pocket revision, as well as an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with waist liposuction and repair of an abdominal wall hernia. She will be ready for the beach by the summer! 👙🌴

Breast implant revision cases can sometimes be quite complex. This patient had saline implants placed 17 years ago and did not like how the breasts were too far apart, especially on lying down. She also felt they were too small. The natural breast tissue had an element of sagging over the existing implant and she wanted the upper pole of her breast to start higher.

She underwent an implant exchange to larger and wider base-width saline structured implants (Ideal Implant) with adjustments to the implant pocket to tighten the pocket, make them sit closer together, and to narrow the cleavage. The larger volume filled the mild skin looseness and raised the upper breast border.

This is the immediate result with improved shape, position, a narrower cleavage, and balanced ni**le position even while lying down. 😍

A key feature of a great tummy tuck is the belly button. Ideally, it should look natural, be at the perfect position, have a thin and hidden scar, be relatively small, and have a normal “tucked in” contour that blends perfectly with the rest of the stomach. As is normal for scars, the belly button scar may become a bit pink in the first few months after surgery, but should fade in the first year and lighten, becoming barely perceptible.

Beautiful tummy tuck results at 6 months for this amazing mom! Fully customized with muscle repair and circumferential (all the way around) liposuction of the waist, she now has a fabulous toned and tight tummy! Over 1.5 litres of fat was removed with liposuction alone! 😳

Did you know that breast implants come in different profiles? 😳😳😳 The profile of the implant refers to the "projection" or how much the implant comes out from the chest wall relative to other implant dimensions. It relates to the "roundness" of the implant. In the same profile, the wider the implant is at its base, the larger the volume. The implant sizers shown here are from Allergan.
Ultimately, implant choice is a very personal thing and needs to be tailored to you! An implant may look great on one patient but may not be the right fit for another patient! It is important that your surgeon spends the time necessary to ensure you are choosing the right implant!

Who says all fat is bad? 🤨😳 Fat grafting is a procedure where fat is liposuctioned from certain areas of the body where it is less desirable (abdomen, flanks, inner thighs, etc) and injected/transferred to more desirable areas where patients want more fullness (eg: breasts, buttocks, hips, etc). Fat grafting is great for smoothing out contour deficiencies and can be a good addition to other procedures to add a bit more volume, like during a breast lift or lower body lift. Not ALL fat is bad! 🤔

to the Allergan Breast Implant Factory Tour in Costa Rica with other top breast implant surgeons in Canada. Dr. Toy was invited with a select group of Canadian Plastic Surgeons to tour the Allergan Breast Implant Manufacturing Plant in San Jose, Costa Rica where worldwide production of Allergan implants occurs. Trips like this are amazing for learning new techniques, the innovations in how implants are made, and for surgeons to help improve how they make implants. We want what is best for our patients!
