September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — a time to honour the children who never made it home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities. 🧡
This day serves as a reminder of the tragic legacy of residential schools in Canada, where thousands of Indigenous children were taken from their families, stripped of their culture, and subjected to unimaginable harm.
Truth and Reconciliation begins with acknowledging the past. Today, and every day, we reflect, learn, and commit to supporting healing and justice for Indigenous Peoples.
