Anita Prysko of Urban Retreat Body & Skincare Centre has been in the esthetics industry for over twenty years. After initially being employed by a salon, Anita developed a home based business and then moved to the current storefront location in the Wolf Willow Shopping Centre in west Edmonton. This business was established in November 2003 and in the autumn of 2019 underwent a renovation to meet the growing demand for esthetics services from Anita and her team. We are now proud to offer our clientele more treatment options, six shiatsu massage pedicure chairs, couples massage, as well as a client lounge and steam room. Urban Retreat employs 10 full-time estheticians, 2 registered massage therapist, laser technicians and 6 client care support personnel. We are extremely proud of our commitment to provide experienced staff, high quality products, competitive pricing and excellent customer service. We have the capacity to host corporate gatherings, bridal and baby shower events, birthday parties as well as seasonal get-togethers. If your group, club or simply several friends want to enjoy some time with one another getting pampered, Urban Retreat would love to pamper you! We have recently received our liquor license to better serve our clients & group bookings! Celebrating 10 incredible years ✨

This month, we are honouring two incredible women who have been part of Urban Retreat for a full decade, Michelle and Katie.

Michelle is a true go-getter. She is always moving, always learning, and always stepping in wherever she is needed. Her knowledge of Jane Iredale makeup is unmatched, and she balances a busy life with an energy and passion that makes her feel like superwoman to all of us.

Katie is our laser tech champion. She is constantly advancing her skills, expanding her services, and bringing a wealth of skin care knowledge to every appointment. Clients love catching up with her and appreciate her down-to-earth personality, humour, and unwavering consistency.

Michelle and Katie, your dedication, kindness, and expertise have shaped so much of what makes Urban Retreat special. We are truly grateful for the ten years you have shared with us.
