The real measure of living fully isn't checking things off a list; it's knowing you mattered to the people who loved you, in the moments that counted, being exactly who you are - quirks, humor, stubbornness and all.

Richard Robert Theopha Brimmage was born in Ottawa to Robert Cameron Brimmage and Jocelyn (Lynn) Helene Dorion. Rick lived his life filling it with adventure, laughter, and the occasional mischief, including his "acquisition" of two flags from Parliament Hill as a young man (a heist he remained particularly proud of until the end).

A gentle reminder: cemeteries are meant to be peaceful places where families can reflect and remember their loved ones. 🕊️

When visiting, remember to keep voices low, silence your phone, and avoid any loud noises. A quiet, respectful atmosphere helps everyone feel comforted during their time of remembrance.

Our Story

We provide personalized funeral, cremation and cemetery services all at one location. Our funeral home has a chapel for memorials which can accommodate more than 150 guests. This space is open to every tradition and faith and is ideal for Celebrations of Life. In addition to the chapel, we offer both indoor and outdoor reception spaces. There are full kitchen facilities and we gladly provide catering for families that wish to hold a reception.

The funeral home is wheelchair accessible, with 120 parking spaces on-site. Our facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art audiovisual system to ensure that no matter the size of the gathering, every guest can participate in speeches and take comfort in photos.

Westlawn Cemetery provides a beautiful 40-acre property for families in Edmonton to honour their loved ones. We are a full-service location with both a funeral home and crematorium on-site.

Many families choose a location in the cemetery that reflects their culture, faith, and values. We offer traditional burial gardens, cremation gardens, and an indoor columbarium. The indoor option is popular because its glass front niches allow keepsakes to be displayed, and the shelter means comfortable visits all year round.
