Pretty sure many of you have met our Prosthetist Jordan by now! Jordan attended the University of Alberta, where he obtained his B.Sc. in Biological Sciences in 2015. He continued on at the British Columbia Institute of Technology where he graduated from the P&O program in 2018, receiving the Mabel and Arnet Pentlands Graduating Achievement Award, while also obtaining a M.Sc. in Rehabilitation Sciences from McMaster University in 2019.

You can often find Jordan hiking, skiing, playing hockey, or cheering on the Oilers.

Troppman Prosthetics is more than grateful to have Jordan on our team!

Happy Monday everyone! We would love to introduce to you all another one of our highly valued members at the Troppman prosthetics family.

Aaron is currently completing his prosthetic technician internship. He was in the IT field prior to this and is excited to see how technology is integrated and advancing in the prosthetics world. Aaron is passionate about enhancing patient mobility and comfort; and is working to make sure that the quality reflects that. Aaron enjoys model building and boardgames in his free time.

New year, new beginnings here at Troppmans! Apart from your clinician who you meet face to face, have you wondered who else is working hard on your prosthesis behind the scenes?

Sebastián has been with us for about 9 months, and within that short timeframe he had already shown us his skills and expertise as a orthotic and prosthetic technician. With over 14 years of experience under his belt, we trust that he will provide our patients with top notch workmanship on their prosthesis. At the 22nd Annual Alberta Amputee golfing tournament today!

We developed the Troppman Grip back in the 1990's for all the golfing fanatics out there. Since then, we have worked closely with amputees to incorporate their golfing needs by using the Troppman Grip. It allows for flexibility in the swing and simple donning of golf clubs. Today, there are 2 different golf grips available to fit the wide range of upper arm amputees. Please check out our website at troppman.ca/troppmangrip to check our grips out! ⛳

We've welcomed a lot of newcomers to Troppman's this month and one popular question is: What Happens After the Prosthesis is Made❓

After you or your loved one is fitted with a custom prosthesis, you will undergo physical therapy to learn how to use the new limb to maximize success (i.e. learning to walk, grip objects, use the prosthetic in everyday living situations, etc.) We'll be there to help maximize your comfort throughout the process. 🤝
