Today, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who fought for their country and gave their lives. We are forever grateful for those who stood on the front lines, and those who helped from behind. Wearing a poppy is a way we can all show our gratitude. It symbolizes our remembrance of the fallen and ensures that their sacrifies will never be forgotten.

Today, we recognize the strength of Indigenous communities and reflect on the devastating legacy left by residential schools. We honor the children who never made it home and honor the survivors.

This day also marks Orange Shirt Day, a reminder of the lasting impact residential schools have had on generations of Indigenous families. Wearing orange is one way to show support and raise awareness.
