Please welcome Dr. Alisa Chun Zou, our new Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor! 🙌
Dr. Alisa Chun Zou is a trusted and experienced Registered Acupuncturist currently practicing on the second floor at Element Chiropractic Clinic in South Edmonton. With a solid foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and a background in modern biomedical research, Dr. Zou offers a comprehensive and personalized approach to patient care by integrating Eastern healing principles with Western scientific understanding.
Before becoming an acupuncturist, Dr. Zou spent over a decade as a molecular biology researcher at the University of Alberta, where she participated in biomedical research that resulted in over ten academic publications, primarily as a contributing author. She holds a Master’s degree in Life Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology Education.
Her treatment philosophy blends her family’s long-standing tradition of Chinese medicine with a clinical, evidence-informed mindset. Patients appreciate her calm demeanor, attentive listening, gentle hands, and precise diagnostic skills. Each treatment plan is uniquely tailored, rooted in the principles of pattern differentiation and whole-person healing.
