Okay, here’s a short story for you. Once upon a time, there was a year called 2020. It was a crazy, messed up year which saw the fitness studio I co-owned (Fit On 45th) close it’s doors. But, the people still wanted fitness classes. They wanted new recipe ideas. They wanted to continue to take care of themselves. And most of all, they wanted to keep feeling connected. So, The Wellness Junkies was born to give the people what they want.

It’s time!! The workouts you’ve all been waiting for! Last week of classes (well, last 4 days) means it’s time for the 12 days of Christmas workouts 🎄classes are pretty full this week but Thursday evening has room if you need to make up a class before the end of the session. That also means we have lots of people on waitlists so please remember to cancel out if you can’t make it. And CHECK YOU EMAIL for details on next session. Let’s do this!! 🎅🏻

Hey hey! Hope you all had a fantastic long weekend and spent time enjoying family and friends (or even a little alone time if that’s what fills your cup). After a long (but thankfully uneventful) day of travel, I am home from a beautiful vacation with beautiful people that has left me full of lifetime memories and gratefulness.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ

My friends…I am so very lucky to have you in my life. We may have met because you were looking for a space to start or continue your wellness journey, but what has happened is so much more than that. The friendships between us all have naturally grown and are truly the most special and valuable part of this entire community. I wanted to take a moment to THANK YOU…for first giving me your trust and then allowing that to flourish into such a priceless connection between us. I am grateful, thankful and do not take all of this for granted. You are loved and appreciated ❤️

Hi guys! Just checking in to let you know I’m missing seeing you at the studio and all the treats, scratches and snuggles I get. My mom thought you might be missing me too so just in case, here is a picture of me to hold you over until next week. It was a lovely weekend celebrating my big brother and sister in law’s marriage…spending time with the people you love the most is absolutely priceless. Now it’s time for me and my number one to go exploring…🇵🇹🇬🇧

(Plank & Pushup Challenge starts TODAY - you can still join us!)

Are you ready? We are boosting our fall routines with a Plank and Pushup Challenge! We have tackled this one before, but this time we are doing 21 days meant to keep you doing a little something while classes are on break for my holiday. Here are the details:

1) $20 entrance fee (etransfer or cash when you see me);
2) complete the assigned Plank OR Pushups OR BOTH each day and cross them off your challenge board;
3) tag at the end of each row with a pic of your progress…each item done gets you one entry into the draw

Random draw will be done on Oct 24th and the winner will receive half of all funds collected…a second name will be drawn and that person will choose a charity to donate the remaining half of the funds to.

The Challenge starts SEPTEMBER 29th…ARE YOU IN??

P.S. adjust your exercise if you have limitations (for example, do chest presses instead of pushups if you have wrist issues)

We’re back!!! After more than a month of adventures it’s time to get back to business. We had the best vacation with family and friends (and just enough alone time) to feel rested and recharged and ready to go tomorrow - SATURDAY - Supersets at 8:25 am followed by HIGH Low at 9:00 am at the Ridge Community League Hall

Hey Junkies! Hope you are all enjoying every last bit of summer and soaking up all the sunshine and fresh air you can handle. It’s hard to believe that it’s almost over 😭 Reminder that classes and personal training resume on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 13th. I will be working on invoicing and registrations over the next week so if you haven’t confirmed what you’d like to do for classes this Fall, please message me so I can get you all set up. Please keep an eye on here and on my stories for availability etc - I’m just in the final stages of getting everything locked down while trying to hang onto summer as long as possible.
