Granville Medical Clinic continues to take extra precautions to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and physicians during this pandemic. Patients are requested to call in (780-306-1116) for all medical concerns which will be addressed by their physician. Any patient with an outstanding lab work or x-ray requisitions can call and get the physician's opinion on the priority of when it should be completed.

We remain an appointment-based clinic. In-clinic appointments are pre-screened and approved by a physician and will follow the following format:

- Patients that have been approved for an in-clinic appointment are requested to wear a mask upon entrance of the building (non-medical mask is fine). If you do not have a mask, please notify our clinic and we will make alternative arrangements.

- Appointment reminders will include pre-screening questions. We appreciate all honesty in answering questions especially when identifying symptoms. COVID-19 symptoms will not delay addressing patient's concerns - it will help the physician in identifying crucial next steps in medical care.

- Patients coming into the clinic will be staggered and timed to hopefully avoid other patients so it would be much appreciated if you come to the front desk just a couple minutes before the time of your appointment.

- Please try to limit the number of people attending the appointment. If more than one person will be attending the appointment, it would be much appreciated if you could notify the clinic at the time the appointment is being booked.

- We will continue to request that patients wash their hands upon entry to the exam room or use hand sanitizer.

If there are any concerns or frustration about our process, please feel free to speak to your GP or the clinic manager. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we try to make our clinic and community safe.

Update: March 17, 2020
COVID-19 in Alberta has rapidly caused us to re-evaluate our processes to help provide the best care not just for our patients but also for our community. We strongly encourage physical distancing to help "flatten the curve" so that our hospitals have the capacity to treat all COVID-19 victims as well other medical emergencies. To do this Granville Medical Clinic has put the following changes in place:

- Granville Medical Clinic remains an appointment-based medical clinic (no walk-in).

- All patients will be phone screened before coming in. Please do not come in person if you cannot reach us by phone - try to stay home.

- Our Saturday clinics have been cancelled until further notice.

- Phone hours have changed to be 9:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday (closed during lunch 12:30pm - 1:30pm) until further notice.

- If possible, Granville Medical Clinic's doctors and staff will try to resolve your issues over the phone without you having to come into the clinic.

- The pandemic has caused telephone congestion throughout North America. If you cannot reach us, please try again later or press '1' to request a call back and leave your name, number and message and our staff will call you back.

- We are fielding a very high number of phone calls. If your request is not urgent, please allow us a few days to process your request.

Please check our page regularly for updates. Thank you!
