My late sister in her final months of living, she loved running.

I decided to start running again to honor her life and the woman she was before addiction. In her final months, she was still out there running before her heart attack, it was her passion, her way out of the darkness. She loved trail running, Cross Country, Marathon running, Mountain runs, Track & Field and running in the River Valley. We would train, run and compete together our entire lives together and I miss that.

I ran my first 5km run for her, I haven't ran in one since my sister was alive and got to do it this weekend for the 5th Annual Orange Shirt Day Run

She found strength in every step. What I wouldn’t give to run just one more race with you Trish . But I do it now with you in spirit.

You were still beautiful until the end of life and I loved you unconditionally beyond your addictions, because I knew who you were before addictions, I know how hard you fought to beat it, you fought so hard to live. No one knows what depression, guilt, anxiety and addictions can do to a person until they lived it and I never judged my sister and her struggles.

What a difference 1 year and 5 months can make.

You don’t realize how much you change spiritually, mentally, and physically when you focus on your happiness, well-being, and gut health. It’s astonishing how interconnected our mind, body, and spirit truly are.

When I started prioritizing my happiness and well-being, making conscious choices to nurture my mind and body, everything began to shift. I focused on improving my gut health, knowing that a healthy gut is fundamental to overall wellness. The changes have been profound.

Spiritually, I feel more connected and grounded. The clarity and peace that come from feeling good inside have deepened my sense of purpose and connection to the world around me.

Mentally, I am more focused and resilient. Stress and anxiety have diminished, replaced by a calm and positive mindset. I find joy in everyday moments and approach challenges with a newfound strength.

Physically, I feel lighter, both inside and out. My energy levels have soared, and I move through my days with a sense of vitality and ease that I hadn’t felt in years. Changing my " Nutrition " was absolutely key, especially being a certified nutritionist I had all the tools I needed to get my health back on track. Also being an athlete my whole life up until I was in my early 30s, I really wanted to get my life back. I feel like I did when I was in my early 30s, I'm physical active everyday through physical movement and sports with my students, my kiddos and U18 baseball team I'm coaching.

Today I also signed up for my 1st 5km run in nearly 5 years. I was a competitive runner for 30 years and it feels good to feel the joy of running again.

Prioritizing your happiness and health isn’t just a lifestyle change; it’s a transformational journey to longevity. I encourage everyone to take that step towards self-care and witness the incredible changes that follow. Your spirit, mind and body will thank you.

It is never too late to start something new.

The only limits are the ones that we put on ourselves since we are prisoners of our own minds.

It's important we to learn how to break free from our limits.

This is something I'm learning everyday and challenging myself to work on all my dreams and goals and not to waste another day in my 30s.

You are not lacking.  You are whole & worthy. If you do not feel that, it is time for your metamorphosis.

Looking for people to join the Warrior & Warriorette Wellness Walking Challenge 31 day walking & running Challenge with me starting January1st. Let's get healthy together!! This is for everyone all ages and genders.

Walking & running is an underrated activity that can really be a powerful form of exercise if you put intention behind it. And it only requires 15-30mins a day for both physical and mental benefits.

Walking & running have always been my favorite outdoor activity to do as a family, with friends or by myself, feeling connected to the Earth gives me peace, balance and clarity. And on those cold or lazy days, I will hit up the treadmill.

Who's in for this Challenge starting January 1st to January 31st 2024?

I will have prizes where names will be entered into a draw for those who commit and achieve a full 31 days!! Also a wrap up in person walk/run will happen at the end of the challenge. Some of the walks/runs I will be hosting in person outdoors at various parks and trails for those who can make it, no in person commitment is needed, it's only optional if you need some good company.

Floating gently in the breeze

And flow freely through life without resistance
