Top 3 Essential Golf Exercises to Improve Golf Game | Golf Performance and Pain Clinic Edmonton
Hey golfers! I'm Juan Nel, a personal trainer at the Golf Performance and Pain Clinic, and I'm here to share my top 3 exercises to improve your rotational power and get your body moving for better golf performance. These simple but effective exercises will help you enhance your core engagement and flexibility, leading to better swings and longer drives.
1. Push Down Stretch:
Using a PVC pipe, broomstick, or even a golf driver shaft, mimic your backswing and stretch down to improve flexibility. Hold for 20 seconds, 4 sets on each side.
2. Side-to-Side Slams:
Use a medicine ball or a similar object to engage your core as you slam side to side, simulating explosive golf movements.
3. Explosive Wood Chops:
Using a resistance band or cable machine, assume your golf stance and perform large, rotational wood chop movements to build power in your core and upper body.
Try these exercises to enhance your rotational power and take your game to the next level. If you need more help or personalized golf training, please call us at the Golf Performance and Pain Clinic.
