🌿 You Are Not Alone 🌿
Today is World Mental Health Day, and I want to take a moment to speak to anyone who might be struggling silently.
For much of my life, I battled with depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. There were days when getting out of bed felt impossible. Days when I wore a smile but felt empty inside. Days when I truly believed something was wrong with me.
But there was never anything wrong with me… or with you.
We were simply living with a nervous system stuck in survival mode, doing its best to protect us.
When we’ve experienced prolonged stress, trauma, or emotional overwhelm, our nervous system can stay in a state of fight, flight, freeze, or fawn, and that can make peace, joy, or even rest feel out of reach. Understanding this changed everything for me.
Healing didn’t happen overnight.
It began when I learned to listen to my body’s signals, to regulate my nervous system, and to create a sense of safety within.
Through compassion, presence, and self-love, I slowly came home to myself …body, mind, and soul.
If you’re struggling right now, please know this:
💛 You are not broken.
💛 You are not invisible.
💛 You are seen, heard, and deeply loved.
Even if it doesn’t feel that way today, you are not alone in this journey.
Your nervous system, and your heart, can heal. One breath, one moment of safety, one act of compassion at a time.
Let’s keep breaking the silence around mental health. Let’s keep showing up for one another with gentleness and love.
