Although most people see Chiropractors as bone or spine doctors, Chiropractors actually focus primarily on the nervous system. Chiropractors know that the nervous system is the one system in the body that directly influences every other system. This is because nerves conduct sensory information from every part of the body and then delivers the information to the brain. Once there, the brain analyzes the information to determine what the body needs to maintain a healthy state. So, the health of the nervous system is paramount to the good health of the rest of the body. Chiropractors recognize that misalignment in the spine can interfere with proper nervous system function. More specifically, chiropractors study the effects of vertebral subluxations- conditions of the spine where alignment and movement patterns of the vertebrae are abnormal. When this occurs, imbalances cause irritation and inflammation. In turn this can cause interference with the information that is transmitted along the nerves and spinal cord. Chiropractors are the only health care professionals specifically trained to locate and correct subluxations. This is the primary reason why chiropractors should be called wellness doctors. Every time a chiropractor corrects a vertebral subluxation, the positive effects are felt in multiple systems simultaneously.

🧠 Did you know your head weighs around 10–12 lbs when it’s properly aligned? But for every inch your head shifts forward, the weight on your spine can double or even triple. That’s like asking your neck and shoulders to carry a bowling ball all day, every day. 🎳

In the X-rays above:
🔴 The red line shows the actual curve of the neck.
🟢 The green line shows the ideal, healthy curve.

👉 On the left, the neck has lost much of its natural curve. This forward head posture puts significant stress on the muscles, ligaments, discs, and nerves.
👉 On the right, after consistent chiropractic care, the curve is improving — reducing stress, restoring balance, and allowing the spine to function the way it was designed to.

Meet Kim! 💁🏼‍♀️
Back Office Manager at LiveWell Family Chiropractic

Hey there! I’m Kim — the behind-the-scenes lady here at LiveWell Family Chiropractic. I’ve been part of the team for just over 2 years, making sure all things billing, receipts, and motor vehicle accident claims are running smoothly. You may not see me much because I live in the back office — but I’m always hard at work keeping the admin side of things in tip-top shape. Occasionally, I pop up front to say hi 👋!

Outside of clinic life, I’m a proud wife (married nearly 15 years ❤️) and a busy momma to two awesome kiddos 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. If we’re not running to dance, soccer, or some other activity, you’ll find us at our happy place — the lake 🌊. And every winter, we trade snow for sunshine with a month-long getaway in beautiful Ixtapa, Mexico ☀️🌴 (yes, it’s as dreamy as it sounds).

Fun facts? I’m a certified pediatric sleep coach 💤 — helping parents get their little ones to sleep better (because sleep = sanity, am I right?). I’m also a certified nail technician 💅🏻 because, hey — cute nails make everything better! And when the day winds down, you’ll often find me unwinding with a glass of wine — because life’s too short not to enjoy the little things 🍷.

🎤 MEET JESS – Queen of Jibber Jabber 👑

Hey, I’m Jess! Self-proclaimed queen of jibber jabber 👸 and still figuring out what I wanna be when I grow up (spoiler alert: probably never happening—and I’m 100% okay with that 😎).

I’ve been part of the LiveWell Family Chiropractic crew for the last 2.5 years and it’s been an absolute blast! 💥 Turns out, I really love people 🥰 and getting to know so many of you amazing humans has been the highlight of my time here.

Outside of clinic life, I’m a proud mom of two grown kiddos 👩‍👧‍👦, wife 💍, and dog mama 🐾. I’m basically a walking musical—🎶 if I’m not singing out loud, it’s playing nonstop in my head! Concerts, music, and dancing like nobody’s watching? Count me in! 💃

I’m also a craft enthusiast (even if I'm not good at them 😂), a book club reader 📚, card game champ ♠️, and lover of good laughs and quality time with my crew ❤️
