🎂 Cake Day was a Sweet Success! 🥛

Last week, we came together to celebrate International Cake & Milk Day, and it was an absolute treat! From delicious cakes to refreshing drinks and gluten-free options, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 🍰

But the best part wasn’t just the desserts, it was the smiles, the laughter, and the sense of community that filled our spaces. Moments like this matter. They give our participants a chance to connect, socialize, and experience something joyful and inclusive together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Cake Day special. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to spread sweetness and celebrate together! ✨🎉

This Movember, we’re proudly celebrating the power of the moustache! 🥸💙

🧦💙 Chrysalis Supports the Fill a Sock Campaign! 💙🧦

Chrysalis families, staff, and participants came together in Calgary to support the Fill a Sock Campaign with the Calgary Drop-In Centre, collecting 49 bags filled with winter clothes, toiletries, transit tickets, candies, and gift cards! 🎉

It’s always inspiring to see nonprofits lifting each other up. When we work together, we build stronger communities and make an even bigger impact for those experiencing homelessness and poverty.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, your kindness truly warms hearts! ✨

We are thrilled to announce that for the first time, we have been selected to receive an AIMCo Foundation for Financial Education community grant.

This grant will support our Money Management Program, teaching practical financial skills to adults with developmental disabilities.

🌟 A Fun & Energetic Morning! 🌟

Program participants had an amazing time taking part in a Canadian Folk Dance workshop in our Active Leisure Room. They explored the history, rhythm, and basic footwork of traditional Canadian folk dance, and the room was filled with movement, laughter, and a sense of connection.

We love offering opportunities that inspire learning, culture, and joyful experiences for everyone we support.

🔥 Ice Safety Workshop with the Calgary Fire Department! ❄️

We had the opportunity to learn from a Community Safety Officer with the Calgary Fire Department, who led an engaging and informative workshop on ice safety.

As we move into the colder months, understanding how to stay safe around ice-covered lakes, rivers, and ponds becomes especially important. Knowing what signs to watch for, how to recognize unsafe conditions, and what to do in an emergency helps keep everyone safe and confident throughout the winter season.

A big thank you to the Calgary Fire Department for sharing such valuable knowledge with the people we support! ❄️
