Even though I haven’t struggled with losing weight, I’ve faced my own challenges that I think are important to talk about.

When I was in junior high, I was a bigger kid and at the time this is very normal, but I often felt out of place. I remember feeling insecure about my body and wishing I could fit in better. But as I started high school, I lost a lot of weight. At first, I thought I would be happy about it, but instead, I felt weak and small. I realized that being skinny didn’t make me feel good about myself.

In high school, I started going to the gym and trying to bulk up, but I often felt like I was failing. I didn’t always know how to train effectively or what my body needed. It wasn’t until I recently got my trainer’s certificate that I truly began to understand how my body works and how to control it. This knowledge has made a big difference for me.

Through my journey, I stumbled upon running, which became a transformative outlet for me. I started with short distances, gradually building my strength and endurance. With each run, I felt more empowered and connected to my body. I even decided to challenge myself with my first ultra marathon. While I didn’t finish, I came incredibly close and learned so much about perseverance, resilience, and the importance of enjoying the journey.

As I move forward, I carry these lessons with me and hope to inspire others to keep going, knowing they are not alone in their journeys. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging environment where everyone feels comfortable. It’s not just about the numbers; it’s about building a strong community and sharing our experiences together.

The Snack Trap

When we are really busy, we often grab unhealthy snacks. It’s easy to choose chips or cookies when we are rushing between activities. This can make it hard to lose weight and can leave us feeling tired.

For many busy people, quick snacks have become a habit. These snacks can:

-Add extra calories
-This can lead to weight gain
-Feeling low on energy
-Feeling guilty about these choices can make it even harder to eat healthy creating a cycle of bad eating habits.

What if you had healthy snack ideas ready to grab? Imagine choosing a quick snack that helps your body instead of making you feel heavy. You could satisfy your hunger and stay on track with your goals, even on the busiest days. It’s normal to fall into the trap of unhealthy snacking; many people do. I want to help you break this cycle and make healthy choices easier. This is one of the many things we focus on in our program!

Use a curb, bench, or stadium steps for the step-ups and dips. You also can use it for the push-ups if needed.

🔥There are a lot of ways – and reasons! – to add flaxseed to your diet!

The reasons: They are loaded with healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals that may help protect your heart, lower your risk of stroke, improve digestion, and lower cholesterol.

Plus, flaxseed has been proven to help lower blood pressure … and it might also help lower your blood sugar, too.

It also contains lignans, which may help prevent certain cancers (prostate & breast).

✅Sprinkle some over your salads … into your oatmeal, smoothies, or casseroles … or add them as a binder for meatloaf.

NOTE: be sure to use ground flaxseed (or flax meal), as whole flaxseed can be hard to digest and you won’t get as much benefit.
