Meet Farhana Punja! Farhana works out of our Northgate and High Performance Centre Downtown. Farhana graduated with a Bachelors of Science with Distinction and a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy both from the University of Alberta. ⁠

In Farhana's own words : ⁠
" I love the challenge of treating a variety of conditions and injuries, and am always working to develop my skills-set to benefit my patients. I’m currently in the process of completing my acupuncture certification and plan to continue my education in dry needling in the near future as well. ⁠
⁠
My ultimate goal is to get to know my patients, understand their goals and motivations, and empower them to crush their goals. I want to provide my patients with the tools they need to take the reins when it comes to their physical health. I’m here to be your number one supporter, educate you on your injury and injury prevention, and use manual therapy and individualized exercise prescription to aide your recovery.⁠

This year brought new challenges when it comes to fitness and self-care, but it also allowed me to be more creative and explore different avenues of fitness that I had previously overlooked.⁠

I’m currently working through a strength and conditioning program with the ultimate goal of Olympic weightlifting. I also love hitting up a spin or boxing class during my spare time. I absolutely love animals, and one day hope to further my physiotherapy education in canine rehab (yes, it exists!) so I can work with our beloved furry companions as well. " ⁠
