✨ A little moment that meant everything ✨

The other day, my middle child sat with my 5-year-old son at the kitchen table over a snack and confidently explained what a uterus is. She said, “Girls bleed every month, and it helps us stay healthy and live longer than boys.” 😄

I sat nearby, quietly listening as she shared what she’s absorbed from years of me speaking openly and honestly about my cycle, my body, and what it means to be a woman. There was no embarrassment, no awkwardness—just pure, joyful understanding.

And then, with the sweetest sincerity, my son looked up and asked, “Can I get a uterus too?”

In that moment, I felt it deep in my bones: we’re doing it differently.
We’re raising children who see the body as wise.
Who understand cycles as something natural and powerful—not something to be hidden.

Creating a period-positive home doesn’t require perfection. It simply asks us to live in truth, speak with kindness, and trust that our children are listening.

Are you kicking off the new year with a massive to-do list, plotting out work launches, family vacations, and every school holiday? 🙋‍♀️ Same here—until I decided to do something radical.

This year, I mapped my entire 2025 around my cycle.

I drew out all 12 months on a big sheet of paper, broke them into seasonal quarters, and added stickers for where I might be in my cycle each day. Yes, really. And here’s the magic: My kids got so curious.

When I explained what each color represented (hello, cycle phases!), they wanted to know how I’d feel on their birthdays, during holidays, and even on our trip to Mexico. Suddenly, we were planning birthday parties and big events based on when I’d have the most energy.

Now, my "cycle calendar" hangs on the wall as a guide for my whole family. My kids are learning to understand me better, and we’re creating a period-positive household together.

This simple shift has brought so much ease, connection, and flow into our lives. Are you ready to try something new this year? 🌟

Post-Christmas self-care = womb care. 🌙​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Let’s be honest: the past few days may have felt like a whirlwind of activity—a tornado of stress-induced hustle and nonstop doing. 🎁✨ And now, it’s time to shift the focus back to YOU.

Post-Christmas is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with your body and honor the unique needs of your current cycle phase. Your womb is your center, your guide, and it’s calling for a little TLC. 💛

Some of my favorite ways to nourish my womb:

Mamas, let’s be real: the holidays are magical…but they can also feel like a marathon with no finish line. 🎄 Two weeks of kids at home, endless to-dos, and the expectation to make it all perfect can leave you running on empty.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Here’s the thing: you weren’t designed to give it your all 24/7. Your hormones and energy levels naturally ebb and flow. Ignoring that rhythm will only lead to exhaustion and burnout. So, let’s flip the script this holiday season:

✨ 1. Honor your phase. Where are you in your cycle? Use your strengths. Follicular/ovulation phases = energy for fun activities. Luteal/menstrual phases = it’s OK to say no, delegate, and rest more.

🎁 2. Simplify the magic. Kids don’t need elaborate Pinterest projects. They need your presence. Pick one or two meaningful activities and let the rest go.

🛌 3. Prioritize rest. A tired mama is no good to anyone. Swap late-night wrapping marathons for a cup of tea and an early bedtime. Your hormones will thank you!

💛 4. Ask for help. You don’t have to do it all. Share the load with your partner, family, or friends—it’s not a weakness; it’s smart.

Remember: a healthy, balanced YOU is the best gift you can give your family this season. You’ve got this, Mama. 💛

Our Story

I am a registered 500 hr yoga teacher who is working to complete my Yoga Therapy Certification in 2018. I specialize in yoga and wellness for women’s health, fertility, pre-natal and postnatal care. I provide public yoga classes and private sessions within the Edmonton community and online classes that can be accessed anywhere in the world. I am also a Master Reiki practitioner and a Moon Mother who is certified in Womb Blessing Attunements and Womb Healing. These treatments are suitable for women at any stage in life from first menstruation all the way through and into menopause. For more information on these treatments, please see my website for details.

For those trying to conceive a baby, I provide Fertility Coaching, Fertility Yoga Classes, and in public and online workshops.

For mommy’s and mommy’s to be, I offer a variety of yoga classes. All energy treatments are also a great way to do self care and to take care of your body pre and post birth as well as to bring it back into balance after birth.
