In response to staffing shortages at Stollary Hospital and the closure of local clinics, Terwilegat Pharmacy will remain open during the holiday season to provide medical care. Our holiday hours are as follows:
• Christmas Eve: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Christmas Day: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• New Year’s Eve: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• New Year’s Day: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

During these hours, we will be offering a range of services, including:
• Strep throat swabs
• Ear and throat assessments
• Additional medical services

We wish you a safe and joyful holiday season.

I was so proud to present a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medal to Mohamed Elfishawi, owner of Terwillegar Pharmacy.

During the early days of the pandemic when many were facing economic insecurity, Mohamed waived prescription costs for those who couldn’t afford them.

He was adamant that no one in our community would go without their prescriptions because of cost. He also ensured that teachers in our community got early access to vaccines because of their work on the frontlines.

His commitment to serving the community is unwavering.

He is also compounding children’s ibuprofen and acetaminophen at his pharmacy!

The flu vaccine is now available at Alberta Health Services clinics, in pharmacies and at some doctors' offices.
