Today’s transformation is of athlete

Gabe was already 11 weeks out and self coaching himself when he came

He came to me already in a good spot and just needed some guidance to the finish line. In the 11 weeks we had we dropped 13 pounds and looked great! Being a natural athlete we had to be very cautious of how much cardio we did and low calories got as the goal is always to keep as much muscle as possible and its a much different ball game with natural athletes!

Again there was no secret to his success. Checked in on time, followed his diet, did his cardio, and communicated very well!

Gabe ended up placing 4th in his class (which was a very very stacked class btw) and was very happy with his first showing!

Do you have a problem eating during a growing phase? 🥗🥬🍓

Here are some reasons that could be the issue why:

▪️POOR PROTEIN POWDER: One of the first things I check when a client says they can't eat because they are using poor quality protein powder. I’ve also seen whey protein kill appetite, and when we switched, it brought the appetite back in full force. So check your protein!

▪️MEAL TIMING: Meal timing is crucial for getting down foods for growing muscle, and the biggest mistake I see is individuals not having a structured meal time during the day. They don't properly space meals to allow adequate digestion for an adequate appetite. So, eating meals at the same time every day spaced well enough apart can drastically improve appetite.

▪️NOT ENOUGH MOVEMENT: I've seen clients have poor appetite simply because they just don't move enough during the day. They lift weights, and that's it. I have had clients improve their appetite simply by adding a 20-minute cardio session post workout.

▪️FOOD CHOICES: Your food choices need to change. Foods higher in fiber and fats can slow digestion. You may need to add foods that allow for more ease of digestion.

▪️HIGH STRESS: High stress can lead to poor appetite, so make sure you get your stress under control.

This week’s transformation is of client

Ty came to Ironedge wanting to compete after a 6 year break from the stage.

Ty wasn’t an easy client as he suffers from severe colitis which is an autoimmune disease of the lower intensional tract.

So before anything we had to get his colitis under control by picking food that’s prevented and flair up. After 6 months of proper food selection his colitis was in full remission. With it being in remission we saved him $3400 month in medication costs.

Once we got that in check we began a grow phase where he pushed up to 246 pounds from 225.

We then transitioned into a contest prep phase and with is colitis under control the fat loss began quick with him. Weekly drops of 2-4 pounds a week and in 15 weeks we dropped 41 pounds. Thats an incredible amount of fat loss in that duration.

In these photos Ty is 4 weeks out of his first show so make sure you stayed tuned for the final package we bring to stage!

Jordan came to Ironedge over a year ago with the goal@of stepping on stage one day. So we put together a game plan over the course of the year and executed perfectly.

As we can see Jordan’s has lost a total of 20 pounds in 14 weeks which looks more like a 30-40 pound loss!!!

Hiring a coach who has made a career in bodybuilding is the smartest move you could make when picking a coach for your physique goals! ✔️

Why? Because bodybuilding in itself is an extreme sport. A very extreme sport and to reach the level of an IFBB Pro, you have to go through all stages of the journey.

In order to achieve fat loss, muscle gain, strength gain, and an overall new physique:

- I had to learn healthy eating habits
- I had to learn proper recovery habits
- I had to learn portion control
- I had to lean proper training techniques
- I had to learn that patients is key
- I had to learn that not one diet fits all
- I had to learn a winning mindset
- I had to learn that sometimes feeling good is more important than looking good
- I had to learn discipline

With this, I had to learn that I’m just like the rest of you! I had to start at the bottom like everyone one.

- I lacked portion control

Today’s transformation is of .matatko Trent has had a productive grow season pushing the scale from 209lbs-228lbs in 5 months.

It was as gradual steady climb for Trent and as we can see his frame is just bigger overall. There wasn’t one body part that grew more than another, there wasn’t much fat gain at all, and it was done at a healthy gradual pace.

Trent is a shift working individual who transfers from day shifts into night shifts and then days off and As most coaches know any client who works night shifts it’s always a struggle for the individual to see maximal results due to the constant battle of the negative effects that night shift can have.

But regardless of that Trent checked off all the boxes and had a very productive off season. We are now getting Trent ready for the show in 13 weeks!

There are certain tools that can make your health and fitness journey just that bit easier, which is why we recommend the following to ALL of our clients. 💪⁠

1. Soft Measuring Tape - one of the best ways to track progress is by measuring certain body parts, and a soft tape is essential for this.⁠

2. Fit Track Scale ⚖️ a good scale is so important when tracing your weight, and we recommend the Fit Track ones!

3. Fully Equipped Gym - when you have access to a full gym, your coach can give you a more varied training plan, utilizing different types of equipment, which work different muscle groups.⁠

4. Time for Meal Prep 🥗 eating according to plan is essential to the success of your transformation, so making the time to meal prep is always a must!⁠

5. Step Counter - this isn't essential, but it's a bonus to track your daily movement. This is especially nice if you work an office job, as they can remind you to get up and move during the day.⁠

6. Water Bottle 💧 drinking water is so important, but something most of us struggle with, so having a big water bottle that you don't have to keep refilling helps a LOT.⁠

7. Journal - we are big advocates for mindfulness, especially at the bookends of your day. Use it to reflect, practice gratitude, vent, or all of the above.⁠

8. Good Lighting (for check-in/progress pics) 📸 If you're taking progress photos for your coach, or for yourself, having good lighting helps to see your true form.⁠

Here we have .r.gray with a great transformation! Like has been a long time client of now and has done an amazing job transforming his physique!

Mike came to me 17 months ago with one goal in mind and that was to step on a competitive stage one day! We knew it would take some time to build a physique that was stage worthy and we weren’t in a rush by any means. So over the last 17 months we grew, we did holding/health phases, and we grew some more!

Todays post is Fat loss client

Kael came to Ironedge with one goal in mind and that goal was to lose some bodyfat. In these photos we have a difference of 35 pounds. Kael went from 271-236 in a duration of 20 weeks!

Kael has been one of my favourite clients to work with as he is 100% honest with his weekly check ins. He tells me when he cheats, tells me when he has work functions, always check in on time, and is always putting in a 💯 effort each week!

Kael has not only dropped 35 pounds but his mindset and confidence has drastically changed over the last few months. He is more positive a work, handles his daily stress better, has more energy, and is just genuinely excited for every day!

Kael lost his 35 pounds with weekly cheats meals, going on ski trips, pigging out at the Super Bowl, and just living at life style he enjoys. He’s learned to really dial in his food and training when he needs too and when it’s time he enjoys the perks of his success with!

Today’s transformation isn’t a fat loss transformation but a off season growth update of

We started Hunters growing phase at 217 pounds and over the last 18 weeks have pushed up to a weight of 236.5 pounds. It’s a gain of 19.5 pounds in 4.5 months.

As we can see Hunter is bigger, overall. His body fat is a touch higher which is a necessity for growing good quality muscle.

Hunters big shift in weight was done over a proper duration. We slowly increased food, slowly increased supplements, slowly introduced cardio and steps. We made sure he checked off the boxes every week to make the gains necessary for when we step on stage next!

Hunter is a very dedicated individual to his sport. He nails his food, he nails his sleep, he nails his steps, and nails his training! But the key to a growth like this is consistency. It’s simple. Whether you’re building muscle, burning fat, or maintaining it’s all about consistency day in and day out!!

Today was a day I’ve been looking forward to for a long time!

I got to rekindle my love for bodybuilding by teaching my athletes how to pose for a bodybuilding stage!

We did everything from quarter turns, mandatory’s, individual walk out, comparison rounds, and Q and A. It was a full deep dive into what it take for being on a competitive stage!

The key to producing good athletes on stage is not just getting them in shape but also teaching them what it will actually feel like to be on stage posing in front of a judge.

We are 16 weeks out from the and 20 weeks out from the and I plan on running these classes every 2 weeks.

So even if you aren’t a part of you are more than welcome to join!
