I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I will be speaking at TEDx Devon on September 25th! "Unapologetic: The Rise and Demise of Saying "I'm Sorry".

I have long been fascinated by sociology and the evolution of human culture, and working in such a people-focused field like mental health has inspired me to study countless elements relating to how we feel, behave, and interact with each other.

A few years ago I connected with a sociology professor in the U.S. and we would touch base now and again to share our thoughts on - of all things - apologies.

Why do we apologize? When should we? When should we not? How do we accept them? Who are apologies really for? What do they mean? And why does it feel like more and more people would rather "double down" than admit that they were wrong?

I've had this talk percolating in a folder on my desktop for a while now, and I am grateful and very excited to be sharing it on the TEDx stage next month.

Lastly, the line-up of speakers for this event is OUTSTANDING, and I cannot wait to learn and be inspired by them all! We would love to see you there - and hey, let's put the beautiful town of Devon on the proverbial map as well!

Thank you for all of your support - both personally and professionally. It's truly a gift to do what I love. I can't wait. See you there!
