You asked, we took a while, but it’s finally ready! The online version of our psychological health and endurance sport workshop is finally ready. Join us (online from anywhere!) November 19, 6:30 MST for a discussion on what it means to approach endurance sport from a psychologically healthy space. We are so excited to welcome our newest team member, Jill, who will be starting with us on September 30th!

Jill is friendly, outgoing, and brings great energy to her sessions. She loves working with teens (12+) and adults, and has special interest in supporting people with ADHD, anxiety, depression, social awkwardness, perfectionism, and trauma.

📆 While Jill isn’t on our online booking portal yet (we are in the process of switching software providers), she is currently taking new clients!

After Sunday we got enough requests to put on a more in depth workshop around the psychology of endurance racing. Come learn and train your mind, just as you have trained your body as you prepare for the North Sun Ultra this June.

We have scheduled the workshop for Wednesday May 28th at our location on Whyte - and if there is an Oilers game, we have some alternative dates!

Yesterday Landon was at the orientation run and gave a brief talk about sport psychology and ultra endurance racing before joining everyone on a course preview. It was a great Sunday morning on the trail chatting with folks and enjoying the incredible Edmonton River valley trails featured in the North Sun Ultra.

It was so much fun that we decided to invite folks to an extended workshop focused on mental performance in endurance sport. Hope to have dates confirmed by this evening so keep your eyes open on this space.

Hey everyone, once again it’s time to grow! We are opening a contractor position to registered psychologists or registered provisional psychologists (seeking supervision). If you know or are looking for a new place to practice send us your resume. If you know us, you will know we hate cover letters, so just leave those out. Send us a picture of a dog or draw us one instead (that is always better than an AI generated cover letter referring to our “esteemed and bountiful organization).

Not currently accepting intern applications, open to Registered Psychologists and potential provisional psychologists only. Send resumes (and dog pictures) to info@approachpsych.ca or through web page application portal.
