Six-year-old Scout showed up for her eye exam excited to hold the “My First Eye Exam” sign—until we realized… this is actually her sixth! Yearly eye exams have been part of her routine since she was a baby, helping her grow with confidence, curiosity, and the care her eyes deserve. Regular check-ups like these can catch changes early, support healthy development, and —whether it’s their first visit or their sixth—are a simple way to help them thrive!

Twas’ the day before Christmas, and all through the town
Not a business was open, no help could be found;
For to my dismay a tobogganing tumble,
Had flung off my glasses leaving them in a crumble;
What was I to do having only one pair,
“Will Christmas be blurry?” I cried in despair;
But what to my blurry eyes should appear?
A sign for Second Specs in a mall that was near,
I brought them my glasses, thinking “This will take weeks!”
But they calmed all my fears with friendly smiles on their cheeks;
“Choose a brand new frame, from our large variety below,
We can read your prescription from your lenses, you know;
In just 30 minutes you’ll be on your way,
Or go finish your shopping, you don’t need to stay;
We’ll give you a text or a call when they’re ready,
And once again you’ll be seeing clearly and walking more steady;
“But what will this cost me?!” I asked feeling nervous, For it must be expensive to receive such great service;
“Why, only eighty-eight dollars for both lenses and frame”,
“That’s amazing! Incredible!!” I began to exclaim,
I paid up my bill and happily left in new glasses,
Singing their praises and proclaiming to the masses;
