Yearly milestones can cause old memories of those we’ve lost to resurface, and with these memories often comes a renewed sense of grief and sorrow. And that’s okay.

Grief is a non-linear process that we spend our lives navigating. Within this, there are often “good” days - where we’re able to effectively manage our grief - and “bad” days - where our grief feels insurmountable.

When we’re intimately reminded of our departed loved ones, its not uncommon to have a “bad” day. This doesn’t mean that you’re broken or failing to heal, but rather that you’re experiencing a perfectly normal stage in your healing process.

If you ever need help navigating the grief brought about by yearly milestones, then we’re here for you. Call us at 780-288-8011 or visit healmyheart.ca to receive the gentle and compassionate support you need.

Today is world humanitarian day.

Humanitarian aid workers are some of the most important and selfless people in our communities. However, that doesn’t mean that being a humanitarian worker is easy. The intense emotional weight of humanitarian roles - especially crisis response roles - can contribute to the development of a number of mental health struggles.

So, today we recognize the struggles of humanitarian aid workers. If you’re a humanitarian worker grappling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, or any other form of mental health struggle, then know that your feelings are entirely valid.

If you’re a humanitarian aid worker struggling with trauma or your mental health, then we’re here to help you navigate through your pain. Take the first step towards healing today by calling 780-288-8011 or visiting healmyheart.ca.

Certain emotionally significant dates - such as anniversaries, birthdays, celebrations, and events - can bring about a wave of memories. In many cases, these memories can cause our hearts to flood with grief as they remind us of those we’ve lost.

Seasonal grief is normal, and it doesn’t mean that you’re “broken” or “wrong”. It’s a reflection of how healing is a dynamic and life-long journey with no clear end point. Some days will remind us of those we’ve lost. And that’s okay. ❤️

If you ever need support during an emotionally difficult time, then we’re here to help you. To meet with our compassionate grief specialists, call us at 780-288-8011 or visit healmyheart.ca.

Like adults, children can feel crushed and helpless under the weight of grief and trauma. Unlike adults however, children typically don’t have the emotional awareness needed to properly express and cope with these emotions.

Children who are grieving or experiencing trauma can feel an intense, complex mixture of sorrow, anger, confusion, anxiety, and more. Without learning how to manage or react to the intensity of these emotions, children can develop issues with their self esteem, social development, and emotional development. As a child’s caretaker, it’s crucial that you seek emotional support and guidance for them in these cases.

At the Grief and Trauma Healing Centre, many members of our team specialize in providing grief and trauma therapy to young children and teens. To get the support your child needs, call 780-288-8011 or visit healmyheart.ca.

Grief can feel like an isolating, directionless maze. However, navigating grief doesn’t have to feel this way. Through using the grief recovery method, our therapists walk you through a highly-refined, evidence based process to arrive at healing ❤️.

The grief recovery method involves two processes: discovery and recovery. Across both these processes, people receive emotional support and assignments from a therapist specifically trained in the grief recovery process. Through this, the grief recovery method ultimately helps people to feel supported, overcome negative patterns, and heal from their loss.

Regardless of who you are or what your grief entails, our team of therapists trained in the grief recovery method are here to help you. To book an appointment today, call 780-288-8011 or visit our website at healmyheart.ca.

Your Journey to Healing

We are a team of kind, genuine, and compassionate women who specialize in Grief Recovery® and share a deep passion for helping people heal from significant loss of any kind. There are over 40 life events that can create the feelings of grief including, death, divorce, romantic break-up, pet loss, loss of trust, loss of pregnancy, loss of health, loss of childhood, and unmet hopes, dreams, and expectations. Having experienced painful losses of our own, we feel a deep empathy for the mass of emotions and sense of fear and isolation that people often experience following a loss. Through our own healing, we developed an overwhelming desire to help others move beyond the pain caused by loss.

It is our mission to facilitate healing and recovery for as many people as we can reach, utilizing a powerful method that has transformed our lives and millions of lives across the world. We empower our clients to courageously take new action to complete the pain, isolation, and loneliness caused by loss and to heal from the limiting effects of fear, tentativeness, and worry. Furthermore, we equip our clients with lifelong tools to reclaim their sense of well-being, to make new choices in the present, and to live a life of happiness, purpose, and meaning.

To truly heal our hearts and experience a transformation in the quality of our lives, it is essential that we take new action to complete what is emotionally unfinished in the past in order to move forward. We utilize a heart-centered, action-oriented program, the Grief Recovery Method®, to help our clients complete relationships that have ended or changed due to death, divorce, estrangement, or any other circumstance. We offer this program in individual, group, and workshop formats to suit our clients' unique needs. Additionally, we utilize other highly-structured methodologies to facilitate healing from painful and traumatic memories associated to loss including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Techniques, and IATP Narrative Exposure Therapy.

Contact us at (780) 288 - 8011 or info@healmyheart.ca for more information about how we can support you on your journey. Visit us at www.healmyheart.ca to read more about our services and specialties.
