As we look ahead to a new year, Hazel, a Shepherd’s Care Foundation resident, reminds us how meaningful simple moments can be.

“My room faces our beautiful courtyard, which is my favourite place to spend time. Getting fresh air makes me feel so good.” she shares. "It makes me sad to think about those who live in care and might not have access to an outdoor space as beautiful or functional as ours"

Thank you to our staff, residents and volunteers for making December such a joyful and festive month. From holiday parties and fun Christmas activities to warm mugs of hot chocolate, it was a month full of connection and celebration.

Christmas Party at Eden House! 🎄

Eden House enjoyed a festive afternoon that included a visit from Mr. & Mrs. Klaus, delivering presents and plenty of cheer. The party also featured joyful Christmas carols and delicious holiday treats, making for a truly magical day.

Christmas carnival at Millwoods 🎄

Millwoods enjoyed a variety of holiday games including Snowball Bowling, Candy Cane golf, Ornament toss and Christmas colouring. The carnival brought everyone together for a joyful afternoon celebrating the season.

Thank you to the RBC Communities Together Fund and the dedicated RBC team for their generous support and for volunteering their time to decorate cookies with our Vanguard residents. A special thank you to Teresa Vano for organizing this. Our residents have so much fun and look forward to these visits each year.
