Millwoods hosted their very own Recreation Olympics in celebration of Recreation Therapy Month 🏅

It was a unique event featuring activities like axe throwing and giant Connect 4, while also giving residents the opportunity to sit down and share the things they value most - all while exploring the five domains of recreation therapy.

Vanguard enjoyed a Carnival in honour of Recreation Therapy Month 🎉 The day was filled with laughter and included games such as bean bag toss and mini golf. Of course, no carnival would be complete without delicious carnival-inspired snacks to enjoy.

Residents, staff and volunteers at Kensington Cottages came together for a heartwarming activity called Linked Together in Kindness 💛

Using colourful construction paper, they created a chain symbolizing connection, hanging it up afterwards to brighten the space.

Put Your Heart Into It ❤️🏹

Kensington celebrated Valentine’s Day with an Olympic twist! Residents enjoyed curling, tasty snacks and other Olympic-themed activities. A volunteer even dressed as Cupid, bravely facing off as residents tested their aim with toy bows and arrows 💘

Prince of Peace was delighted to sponsor the Chestermere Whitecappers Association Valentine’s Day Tea💕

Guests gathered for an afternoon of warm conversation, Valentines-themed table decor and a delicious spread of tea, sandwiches and cake. The celebration also included live musical entertainment by the Chestermere Soundwaves, playing notable songs that added to the special atmosphere of the day.

Beach Bash at Millwoods ⛱️🌴
With warmer weather on the way, it was the perfect time for Millwoods to host a Beach Bash! Residents enjoyed lively musical entertainment by Rooney and Punyi Educational Theatre Productions, perfectly complemented by fresh fruit and refreshing sparkling tropical punch.
