Okay team, I need your help 🚩🚩
I’m trying to sum up what I do in one sentence... something that calls in the serious learners and facilitators while ditching the gatekeeping nonsense.

Here are my options 👇 Which one speaks to you? Drop your favourite (1-5) in the comments!

1. "I hand over the keys to the human body - teaching informed anatomy and nervous system science for movement teachers who refuse to accept the gatekeeping and want to truly see beneath the surface."

2. "For movement teachers and serious learners who want research-rooted understanding of the body... without the medical gatekeeping."

3. "Bringing medical-grade anatomy and nervous system science into the hands of movement teachers so they can navigate the body with depth, clarity, and curiosity."

4. "I teach movement professionals to understand the human body, seeing its layers as if they had a scalpel in hand, while keeping curiosity, rigor, and zero gatekeeping at the core."

5. "Research-rooted anatomy and nervous system insight for those ready to explor the human body fully, ditch the gatekeepers, and move with understanding from the inside out."

I know which one is my favourite, but I can't wait to see what lands best for you (and how you know me)!

What does your tongue have to do with movement?

Your tongue is actually innervated by multiple cranial nerves but the one that we are targeting in this video is the hypoglossal nerve, cranial nerve number XII.

Here’s the cool thing about the hypoglossal nerve : it has deep connections to our postural system through what’s called the PMRF (the Pontomedullary reticular formation). When we can tap into the PMRF, we are able to change (potentially by large amounts) the output of our movement practices.

Understanding how to do this, when to use it, and how to do this naturally - without upsetting the flow of your Yoga practice - is what we are going to tackle in the brain-based movement mentorship.

We start February 2. Are you joining us?

Is your hip flexor stretch the stretch you’re looking for?
Try this stretch to target a little more into your tissues.

The thoracic spine innately has limited mobility available due to its anatomical connections to the rib cage. Because of this, many of us hold a lot of attention in this area, so finding some mobility - even a limited amount - can be really beneficial for releasing intention and strain in this area.

Targeting spinal movements by limiting the range of the shoulders can really help us focus our awareness and attention into the thoracic spine. Give this one a try.

This is the types of movements we explore in my online studio classes. You can trial it for free for 7 days! Head to my website to sign up.

Sometimes I’ll throw this into the beginning or ending of my classes. Tapping is an effective tool for helping the brain feel safe which in turn allows the body to respond differently to sensations, movements, etc.

Remember:
When we change the input, we can drastically affect the output ✨
