Floating is a life-changing practice whereby you float effortlessly in a special float cabin designed to minimizes exposure to environmental stimulation such as sight, sound, touch and gravity. Our mission is to provide a clean, relaxed, and unique environment where people of all walks of life can practice deep meditation, manifest creativity, and foster rest and recovery by use of the floatation tank/cabin. Floating is a practice where you enter into a float tank (also called an isolation tank or sensory deprivation tank) which is a well-engineered, enclosed cabin that has about 10” of water as well as about 800 lbs. The water is heated to the same temperature as the surface of your skin so that when the water settles and you remain relaxed and still, you do no really feel the water anymore. The tank is light-proof and sound proof and has a neutral smell. All forces of gravity on the musculoskeletal system are eliminated from the extreme positive buoyancy; so imagine a space where you don’t feel anything, you don’t see or hear anything. The tank’s worldly un-duplicable environment is designed to allow for a minimal amount of sensory input from entering into your nervous system. This environment then has a plethora of benefits and applications for health, personal development, spirituality and well-being. And when done on a consistent basis, it can literally change your living experience.

This is not an easy thing to share, but integrity demands transparency about the challenge facing our little pocket of space and its future.

The running of a float centre is smooth for the most part, but keeping them open, growing & comfortably covering the bills is no easy task. Most float centres across our industry usually only manage to stay open for a short period of time, so I am incredibly grateful and proud that our special space has somehow survived for 9+ years despite the various setbacks and obstacles along the way... Out of respect for Holy Week and Easter, it felt a bit sacrilege to chat about the 😈's🥬 and 420 💨 stuff on April 20th, so to Dominic's respectful thoughts on the intentional & safe use of cannabis with practices like floating.

The stillness, solitude and supportive salty waters of the float tank is such a powerful tool and ally to enhance your exploration of consciousness and your connection to higher powers like Jesus. Interestingly, planet medicines like cannabis have assisted past peoples with the very same explorations for thousands of years. Pairing the sacred tool of cannabis with the sensational power of floating in a responsible manner is a worthy exploration, and if you ever have questions about safely & mindfully pairing them, you are welcome to reach out anytime and ask any questions you have

I love how much potential and depth there is in Light 🌞 and how much can be revealed BECAUSE of darkness.

A surprise midday sundog and catching some aurora tonight over the city was an absolute treat and blessing.

The last two photos are two bonus sky treats - a wavy Kelvin Helmholtz cloud and a rainbow 🌈 that was following me around the equinox

The skies are full of so much potential, and do you wanna know something... so are YOU.

Exploring some intentional darkness, like say in a float tank, is one powerful way to support this revelation of your lightness and depth of potential.

An example of my bliss-fueled journey in physical form is our hexagon wall, and it brings me much happiness to know that over the last 7 years, thousands of floaters have crossed through it to explore their own bliss in our lil' peace playground (is that a good way to describe a float centre? 😋)

My design intention was to create a symbolic threshold of sorts, and I was hoping the wall would act like some type of extra energetic "portal" every time floaters stepped through.

If you have never experienced it yourself or maybe it's been awhile, passing through this wall to go for a float is a pretty awesome thing to explore 🌞
