After years of reflection and preparation, she is excited to begin her journey to motherhood and share all the love, support, and care she has to give. Sonia works as the Director and CEO of several healthcare companies and values mentoring others, building meaningful connections, and helping people grow.

Meet Kara and Clay. After 12 years together, they’re excited to grow their family through adoption and welcome a child into a home filled with love, creativity, and connection 🎨

Both working in education, they care deeply about helping others learn and grow. Kara loves yoga, writing novels, music, and creative projects, while Clay enjoys painting miniatures, gaming, and learning about history.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and Executive Director Sheryl Proulx has some poignant thoughts to share.

✨ ✨ ✨ ✨

As both a social worker and someone personally connected to adoption, I have seen
firsthand how deeply mental health and emotional well-being are woven into every
adoption journey. Behind many stories are experiences of grief, loss, love, trauma, resilience, hope,
identity, and healing.

Mental Health Awareness Month is an important reminder that support matters and that no one should have to navigate difficult life experiences alone. At Adoption Options, we believe in walking alongside people with empathy, respect, and without judgment. Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer another person is simply a safe space to be heard. If you need immediate mental health support, call 811.
