Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also recognized as Orange Shirt Day. 🧡
This day honours residential school survivors and the children who never returned home, and encourages Canadians to wear orange as a symbol that Every Child Matters.
Adoption Options offices will be closed in observance of the day and to participate in events across the province, giving us the chance to reflect, learn, and honour the victims and survivors of residential schools.
We invite all Friends & Family of AO to join us on this important day.
We acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 nations in Southern Alberta and the Métis Nation, Region 3, as well as Treaty 6 and Treaty 8 in Edmonton and Northern Alberta.
